Mountain golf course at Bear Mountain Resort on Vancouver Island: Still on top of Victoria, British Columbia

VICTORIA, B.C., Canada -- Co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and son Steve, the Mountain Course at Bear Mountain Resort is the jewel of resort golf on Vancouver Island.

Located high above the city of Victoria, the course features elevated tees, greens and great views of the city, its Inner Harbour and Olympic Mountains. Playing almost 7,100 yards from the tips, it's also one of the longest golf courses on Vancouver Island.

Complementing the other course at Bear Mountain, the Valley Course, the Mountain Course is challenging, even from the forward tees. With plenty of elevation change and doglegs, difficult bunkering and fast greens, it's a real test. There's also an island green, risk-reward par 4s and par 5s and the signature 14th that overlooks the city below.
