Best of 2016: Top 25 golf courses in Texas

This is our biggest best-of-state list, at least in terms of miles covered. We compiled the top 25 courses in Texas using your ratings and reviews submitted throughout the past year. We used a similar model to the national Top 50, which takes the combined score of a course's overall rating plus their average subcategory ratings. Active reviewers on our platform have more weight to their reviews than those without a lot of reviews. The best golf courses in Texas range from daily fee and semi-privates in the Dallas and Houston metro areas to top resorts around Austin and San Antonio.

This year's Texas top 25 has been shuffled pretty good compared to the 2015 list. It demonstrates you can find value in many corners of the Lone Star State, particularly if you're willing to put on a few miles (something most Texans are quite used to). In fact, three Texas courses made our Top 25 U.S. courses for value this year, and four made the overall Top 50.

But there are also plenty of splurges to be had, and some of the state's most well known resort courses also dazzled reviewers enough to make the ranking. You can view the full list below, and if you don't see your favorite course, leave a review here.
