No. 6 on the Championship Course at Incline Village is a lengthy par 3 that plays over a hazard and through a chute of trees. There's very little room for error. Mike Bailey/Golf Advisor

Incline Village's Championship golf course on North Lake Tahoe: Lake views and challenging doglegs

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nevada -- In an area wrought with golf courses trying to outdo each other, Incline Village's Championship Course can still hold its own. Located about 45 minutes from Reno on the north side of Lake Tahoe, the course is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. layout with plenty of doglegs, a few elevated tees and tight fairways. It's also the only course on the northside with lake views.

Renovated in recent years, the 6,931-yard course is more about placement than it is length. Some of the doglegs have out of bounds through the doglegs and the par 3s require precision. You will need to move it out there, however, on the par-5 13th, which plays 622 yards from the back tees.

Incline Village also boasts a top-of-the-line restaurant, The Grille at the Chateau, a driving range, chipping green, putting green, and practice facilities.
