Orlando area leads top U.S. courses of the week

While much of the North finds itself in frigid temperatures, Southern golf courses have been eating up sunshine in many parts of the U.S. over the past two weeks. Florida, in particular, fared very well once again in recent ratings with the three of the top-rated courses over the past two weeks on GolfAdvisor.

Near Orlando, Bella Collina Golf Club earned the top spot in both overall and conditions categories, while neighbors Mission Inn and Orange County National were runners up.

"Played this course several times and the condition now is in the best I have experienced," wrote steven1898777, a 5-9 handicap. "The clubhouse is the best I've experienced in central Florida and the staff friendliness was fantastic."

Meanwhile, short and sweet Monterey Pines Golf Course, near Pebble Beach, enjoyed fine ratings as well during unseasonably sunny and warm conditions many of us saw on TV during the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
