With the heat of the summer upon us, golf courses in both north and south are earning scorchingly good reviews from Golf Advisor raters.

We compiled the ten best golf courses for the month as a result of the thousands of reviews to be submitted to the site from everyday golfers.

While July is certainly not prime time for golf in southern destinations like Florida and Las Vegas, many courses are nevertheless earning high ratings, likely as a result of offering bang-for-buck tee times to those willing to endure the heat.

The top course for the month is in the Mid-Atlantic, Virginia's Colonial Heritage, which was No. 1 in 2015 and 2016 in our Best-of Virginia ranking.
