Power Rankings: Destin, Florida-area golf course no. 1 for the month of November

The month of November saw the first significant snow falls in many parts of the northern U.S. But there were still courses coast to coast that received excellent ratings on Golf Advisor.

No. 1 for the month of November is in Destin on northwest Florida's gulf coast, Kelly Plantation, a Fred Couples/Gene Bates design that is currently no. 3 all-time for that destination, according to your reviews.

According to reviews, Kelly Plantation's greens were in excellent (and fast) shape for the month (which isn't always the case in Florida as after-effects of fall over-seeding and aeration are common), and customer service was exemplary.

Review of the month

One of our best-of lists highlights most-improved courses, according to your reviews. One of our top-100 reviewers played the Atlanta-area's Cobblestone Golf Club and had this to say:

Cobblestone Golf club is beautiful. From the time I got out of my car I was blown away by the beautiful practice facilities and how full the parking lot was on a 55-degree day. The putting green was good and the driving was large driving range. The only bad thing is you hit of mats. The chipping area has a large deep bunker and a specious chipping green. The course is beautiful with 8 holes running along lake Acworth which in the summer is filled with boats. You will get your day started on a blind tee shot 1st hole par 5. The 3, 4, and 5 are unbeatable running on the lake. 3 and five are par threes while 4 is a drivable par 4 with crazy winds of the lake...18 is a stellar finishing hole on the marsh. After you're round head to the bar and grill for a fantastic meal. The staff is so nice and makes you feel at home check this course out you won't look back.
