Walked

It was pretty good. The only bad thing was the driving range was far away and you had to drive to it. Once we finally found it the ball dispenser only gave us 2 balls. Other than true driving range and back 9 being far away it was a ton of fun.

Nice place to play

Better than average place with an interesting layout. Course conditions were good and the price was a great value.

Good for Value

I played this course back end of April. The positives are that the greens were excellent and running fast and the back nine layout is very picturesque with rolling fairways through mature trees. The front nine is not a great layout with blind tee shots and at times greens that were almost too small.
The overall condition was scruffy but I did only pay 31 dollars with a buggy.

Donald Ross Gem in the Peidmont

The front 9 is a Donald Ross design with deep greenside bunkers and smallish greens. Elevation changes are prominent on most holes. The green complexes really shine with no 2 alike. Greens pitch front to back and back to front and all manner of sideway tilt-keeps you guessing! The inward 9 is fun with ample challenge on your drive to work the ball both ways. Overall an enjoyable round of golf.

Very forgettable

Staff was pretty bad. The guy working the pro shop was very uninterested in helping me. I think I interrupted him reading an article on his computer. He checked me in and that was it. He did not ask me if I wanted range balls. I wasn’t sure if they had a range which they do but it’s across the street, I putted for a while and started to go to the Teebox 10 minutes prior to my tee time when the starter stopped me (didn’t think there was one) and his words were “I don’t have room for a single today. I booked solid” Um yes I know which I why I made a tee time lol. He asked if I could catch the group in one fairway so I skipped my tee shot and joined up with them. Before I hit my shot, he followed me out to tell the group I was joining that it’s cartpath only which he forgot to mention. I’m not really sure what the starter was doing, but it clearly wasn’t his job. It was also very dry and hadn’t rained for days so not sure why it was cart path only.
For the course, it’s OK. It’s a very forgettable, layout and pretty simple off the tee. Most holes for me were driver and wedge. The greens were very fast. I like fast greens, but these were unplayable which made the round Pretty frustrating.
