Wet Conditions
The course was extremely wet due to a lot of rain recently. Amazingly playable considering conditions. Lost balls in fairway due to plugged shots. Course is enjoyable when dry. Back 9 has a couple challenging Doglegs. Greens played true about average speed. Cart path only on this day. Great value.
Nice course
Played as first tee time if the day in under four hours. Course was a good value for $23 with cart on a Saturday morning. Very playable front 9 but real tight back 9 in places. I'd play it again. I would have paid $35 and felt I got a good deal.
Needs time to dry
I have been playing this course for year and unfortunately it seems to get a little worse every year. The staff is not all that friendly and the course could use a little tlc. Hopefully this will come in time. There was a lot of standing water which made in imperative to keep the ball in the fairway. The greens were in good shape and overall its a good value.
Great Value for a Good Course
Overall - Course was in good shape. Greens are much improved from last year (rolled smooth, not super slow) Course was extremely soggy, resulting in a lot of plugged balls.
I can't wait until the course can dry out, as it is going to play fast and get back to the conditions it normally is.
Food was slow at the turn. Hot dog was cold.
A little early yet
Have played this course for many years and generally enjoyed it a lot. As my title suggest it's a little early yet. The course was quite wet (cart path only), but this place always did take it's time drying out. Thus, it played quite long. The greens were a pleasant surprise, the turf tightly knit with no evidence of snow mold or winter burn from the 4-5 months of rotten weather we've just suffered through. However, they did putt quite slow. I look forward to coming back and playing here when it's had a chance to dry out, firm up, and the greens pick up some speed.
Candywood GC
It was soaked when we played from all of the rain the previous 2 days. Don't recommend playing for 48 hours at least after it has rained. Overall very nice for the price. I play here several times throughout the year and enjoy it. Play in several scrambles there every year.
Nice course in very good condition
Have played here many times before. They lost most of their greens early in the year but the are healthy now. Course is in excellent condition and was fun to play. It's not a long course but but still, because of the trees can be challenging. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you played it.
Pretty average
Nothing really special about the course. The greens are well kept and large which makes for a fun putting round. Lots of OB. The staff at the club house were cocks.
great value
This course is relatively flat. It is a great course for the high to moderate handicap. It is very affordable. The staff are always accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.
Nice Course but wet
The course itself was really in fine shape. However, with all the rain we've had, it was just too wet to play well. Partner and I both enjoyed the course and will return. Greens were wonderful to putt on. Very well manicured (considering all the water around). Very enjoyable place to play.
Beautiful Day! Beautiful Course!

Candywood
Good luck putting at this course. They do not like people booking on golfnow. They had an outing going on when we showed up had to wait 30 mins past tee time. Greens were bad bad bad bad. Worst I've played ever. Seems like the staff has stopped caring. Chef Ramsee needs to come in for A episode of course nightmares. 3 hadicap shot 77 lost 5 shots to short putts bouncing off line or hitting a long patch of grass on greens.
rough greens
Played candywood for the first time in at least three years when I used to play somewhat regular I was shocked to see the terrible condition of the greens.they used to be some of the best greens in the area. They are now the absolute worst in the Mahoning .valley. rest of the course is still pretty good shape. Will try again in couple months.
bad green
The green on all the holes are in terrible shape, Normally, this course is known for great fairway and green. It has no bunker. However, this year the greens are all damaged and in poor shape. No worth the money.
this course could be nice but,,,
This course was overbooked ,way to many people together pace of play did not exsist. Greens were in a terrible state . Starter and his buddys made sure to jump in front of my group. I couldnt belive my eyes
Never coming back.
The course was destroyed. The greens are literally the mud. The staff and the guy at the cash register were unfriendly and obviously annoyed that I used golf now. I will not be returning.
Okay Course
This course looked really nice, and it's honestly hard to give it a fair review. First, the day we went, it ended up being about 50 degrees as the high today and rained the entire time. Also, this year we've had a lot of rain and cold weather stretching further in to the month of May the normal.
However, with that said, this course had several issues that I just don't think makes it worth the money. The cost for this course is 31$ on the weekends for 18 holes with a cart.
The greens were absolutely atrocious and they are the main reason for my negative review. Again, just to mention, we haven't had the best weather which I'm sure has affected the greens tremendously. However, there was so many bare spots, and spots under repair you couldn't putt to save your life.
Also, the course has a coupe holes that require you to hit over some water, but most of the course is flat and there is no type of sand pits or anything, making it a fairly easy course to do well on.
Again, the weather was nasty, has been nasty and maybe their course will get better once the weather straightens up, however, in this area there are a lot of courses that are cheaper than them and in my opinion, far better.
This course is challenging
This course could be a top golf course if they would add some bunkers.
excellant
Every thing was great. Will use again. I hope you continue this service. Its saving us a lot of money.
