Not really worth the money.
Paid $34 person for 18 & a cart. Im someone who has played a lot of golf at a lot of courses all over the country.
The pros: For a saturday mid morning round with nice weather, the pace of play was great. They also have nice bathroom and a nice snack bar inside the pro shop.
The cons: the course is not in good condition. Like really this could be a good golf course if it was better managed. The fairways are garbage. High & long patches of grass. Even the parts that werent high, still mimicked a first cut of rough. And lots of very dried out patches of dirt. The greens were much of the same. They actually could be nice greens, but a lot of patches of dirt and many that need repaired. Overall, it felt more like playing in my backyard as opposed to being at a golf course. Id say $18 and a cart here should be about $21-$24. Not $34.
Nice Improving Course
My second time playing this course, and the price was good, and from what I've been told, the course is a lot better than what it was before the new owners. There are some things that need work, but you can tell there's effort being put into the course to make it better. There are some pretty challenging holes, and some easy ones too. Lots, and lots of trees! People are friendly and it's been enjoyable playing with those I've played with these last two times. Will definitely be going back. The Price Is Right!
Work in progress
Used to play here a lot but had not played for a while. Changed hands and course had been let go. Should be fine in a couple years. Pretty rough right now. Fair deal on golf now with cart. Would not pay normal rates to play here.
Great value! If you haven't played here give it a try!
Run the other direction
Saw this course for a real bargain - $15 for 18 and a cart. By far the absolute WORST course conditions I have ever played. Massive tire tracks and other ruts all over the course (fairways especially). Can’t tell fairway from rough in other spots. To make it even worse, the guy in the clubhouse has a real attitude. I’d rather stay home than play this place ever again.
Great value course
Grabbed a last minute deal to play there, would’ve payed full price. Nicely maintained golf course with extremely nice staff. Long open fairways and good spacing between groups.
Will be playing again.
Back from the dead
Not sure about the other reviewer from last week, but I golf here regularly and though it isn't quite "there" yet, the new owners have resurrected this course.
I golfed the same day as the other reviewer as well and didn't have the same issues (maybe they were still catching up with mowing due to the week straight of heavy rains prior?), but I can confirm that only 9 holes were open. According to the general manager, this was due to the heavy rains that had left the back nine a little wet to be played. As far as the carts not being allowed out, I would assume that same issue would apply. Carts+wet ground=destroyed course
Anyway, good to see this place coming together and I LOVE the new renovations to the clubhouse (beer on tap finally!). Can't wait to see what's next!
Terrible Condition
Fairway is over 9 inches long. I wouldn’t wish anyone to play this course. It is cheap and rightfully so. Finding balls even in fairway is almost impossible.
Beautiful Backdrop
This is by far one of the most beautiful back drops you will find in this area. You’d be hard pressed to find something nicer than this place in that regard. That being said, this place needs some work. If you are looking to play a serious round of golf look elsewhere because you will be disappointed. There are currently only 9 holes as of 4/22/19 and it’s walking only. However, there are a few pushcarts available free of charge. The course was taken over by new owners last year after a negligent owner ruined this course. The fairways are pretty patchy and the greens are fried and VERY slow. But I can tell they have been giving it A LOT of love and attention. This would be a great place to play a casual round at a very cheap price. Maybe bring the kids and get them out there swinging, or drag your lady out for a stress free round of golf. I’m definitely keeping this course on my radar for times like these, and looking forward to see what these guys can do in the coming few years. If they pull this place together it will be an awesome course to play, there is no doubt about that. For now, keep it in your back pocket for a practice spot.
