Concrete course
The course is horrible. The fairways are like concrete the greens are in bad shape. My one and only time I will play this course.
Needs TLC
I have played this course a few dozen times but this was the first time in two years. The tee boxes were in fair condition with some needing more grass. The placements were okay. The fairways were disappointing, especially after the rains we have received. It was hard to find a good patch of grass even down the center of the fairway. The greens were in good condition except for a few (#9 especially). Pin placements were fine. Overall not worth the weekend rate.
Fun course for any level player.
The staff was very friendly. The course is challenging enough. It is not a flat course and there are some hazards, but you get lots of roll on your shots. Greens were slow but in ok shape. Overall fun course. I would play there again!
Great greens
Fairways are a little hard, greens are excellent, course is fair and competitive to play.
Improve fairways/ cart paths
The fairways don't mesh well with the greens. The greens are in great shape but even the middle of fairways on most holes are terrible. Same thing for cart paths, few nice cements paths but rest are either terrible or nonexistent.
Excellent course and great value for the money
Challenging, but fun. Great for the beginner and advanced player alike. Makes you think about game strategy and club selection.
Nice Greens,bent grass
Course was pretty rough bare fairways and not much good grass in fairways, lot weeds.Greens are the saving of this course they were in great shape
Price was good thru golf now at 10$ for 18 with cart
Twin Oaks - Duncan OK
I really enjoy the layout of this course. Certain holes force you to play less than driver, and a lot of second shots over streams or brush filled gullies. A few of the greens have as much elevation change as I've ever played, and have some pretty challenging pin placements. The biggest drawback is the condition of the course. Some greens have grass completely missing on some portions or are in bad shape. There are certain fairways that have been washed out by storms. Also, the majority of the cart paths are dirt, and are very rough. You'll want to leave your club head covers on so they aren't banging against each other. If this course could manage to find an investor to make the necessary repairs, it could be one of the nicest in the Duncan area, maybe all of southern OK. Paid $22 through golf now for 18 holes with a cart, and another $5 for 9 additional holes with cart. Will definitely be back!
nice layout but needs work
The course needs work. The fairways had little grass.
The greens had been "punched" lately and had not had time to recover. The layout of the course is interesting and challenging. Fairways are wide but tree lined, so your drives need to be accurate. The greens had character and well planned out. I will go back to play this course when the greens heal and some rain has helped the fairways.
Greens could use some work.
Good course, greens had some dead spots, but that could be because of all the rain we have had.
Overall, great game and will be returning.
Good deal for the price.
The course was in very good condition. Pace was rather slow on the front side. Four groups were on one hole at the same time. Excellent deal for only $10 which included cart.
My experience.
The course could use a little TLC. The greens weren't bad. But the staff and other golfers were awesome. I felt welcomed and that alone would bring me back to play there.
Getting better
They are starting to do more work on this course and it is starting to look great.
The greens are always great, but the fairways are hit and miss. With the new watering system being installed this will turn into a great course
Nice open course. Decent amount of hazards.
Had a fun time playing this course. Nice location. Greens were fair to average. It was challenging for a high handicapper. Very friendly staff.
Cheap was about the only good thing
The greens really need some work. The course is a mix of grass, sand and dirt. Everything needs some water to get some grass on the course. This is a field course but it needs work. Cart paths are like off-roading and so is the course. You have to find grass to hit from in many places. If this course had grass and the greens were fixed, it would actually be a very fun course to play. Will not play this course again until some things get a lot of work.
One of the best in Stephens county
The course is in good shape as per winter. Hole placements are tough on some holes.
good for a tune up
good for a tune up course is in a little distress because of the drought and water restrictions in this area. but fun to take my son and grand son.some very unruly players playing their on game jumping holes playing 7and 8 somes
