Reviews
enjoyable course
Nice 18 hole layout. Redoing most of the water hazards on the course. When they are finished, the course will be more difficult. Course is in good shape and great value for price.
Great small town course
Fun course to play. Great value for your money. The course was in very good condition.
Best value
Greens were in great condition...however they were smaller than what I have played at before.
Long Drive For Not Much
You always want the whole package. Most times you don't get it. A really good course normally costs more. A fair course is usually reasonable. Turkey Run is a fair course, but nothing special. And its green fees are about what it is worth. All of which would be OK if you happen to live in Hennessey. Which I do not. You can save yourself a long drive and play at home for about the same experience.
okie george
I would give it all 5 stars except they haven't opened new facility yet. ( food) Stil I always enjoy coming here. Live in Enid and well worth the drive.
Worth the drive !
Greens were a little tall and bumpy due to being too tall roll those things out ,cut a little shorter and you get five stars !
Good time
Fun course with good time. Little confusing but makes up for it with nice course layout
Great time!
Great staff who are very friendly. Excellent layout, fairways, and tee boxes. Greens are slow and some need maintenance. Price is worth the drive (I live in OKC and it takes me an hour). Highly recommend this course!!
Pleasant Diversion
A bit out in the country, this uncrowded well-maintained course is a good value for the average golfer. Wide-open fairways and very little in the way of elevation or surprises make for an easy day. The greens are small but well manicured. The staff is friendly and inviting. A nice place to go for a drive and enjoy a leisurely fun day.
Beautiful Course
Very friendly staff, course is in very good condition. Drove an hour to get there and will do it again.
Good layot
Fun course, good layout even for a short course. The greens were a little bumpy, but other than that I enjoyed the round and will go back again
Thankful to play
I enjoy playing Turkey Creek because it is difficult enough to be challenged but easy enough to have fun. What i like the most is having the availability of golf now.com otherwise i could not afford to play near as much.
Great value
Love playing Turkey Creek. The course is currently in great condition. They need water on the course and a little more mowing, which was being addressed the day we played. Basically those are the only negatives I saw. I just wish it was a little closer to home.
Diamond in the rough
Turkey Creek golf course presents you with a golfing experience that you might not expect, given its distance from a major populated area. The pace of play is less than 3 1/2 hours. The greens are average to small in size, but the fairways have fairly large landing areas. Your interest is held by the subtle turns and many elevation changes in the layout of the course. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a fun, friendly, golf experience that is a great value for the money.
Very nice course
The course is in great shape. The ponds are pretty much dried up so it's a little less challenging than it normally would be.
Very well kept
The course is in excellent shape considering the recent conditions. The ponds look terrible because they are drying up and the areas where they burnt off have a lot of burnt golf balls to mistake as your own. Other than that I loved it.
Small greens are even smaller on a windy day!
Thoroughly enjoyed the course! Even though the course is transitioning from dormant fairways, it is well maintained. Some greens have dead spots, but they rarely affected my putts. The course is definitely challenging with its small greens, and difficult approach shots were even more difficult in blustery conditions. Pleasant surprise and worth the money and the drive.
Great course at an excellent rate
Course is in good shape and steady rate of play! Excellent course for the money
Great Course!!!
Do not let the fact that this course is in the middle of nowhere keep you from playing it. Also the course has had a bad rep of not having a clubhouse between two nines (ie after the first nine holes you do not return to the clubhouse) but that is changing very soon with a new clubhouse being constructed right now. It is definitely worth the money to play and this is officially my favorite course in Oklahoma.
Under repair
If the course is under repair they should tell you before you play.. We wouldn't have driven the hour. The tee markers no where on the course. Greens where punched and covered in sand. And yes the greens are small as reported. Small rocks were also on the greens. No true roll on the greens. Some of the bunkers were reloaded with new sand. The old sand was all over the green sides so we thought we were playing in the desert. It was not well marked at all so finding the next hole was a bit challenging at times. Slow play we caught a father and son group, the son was under 12. We then caught a group of 6 at hole 4 that backed up the whole course. 5 hour round is painful. No marshal on the course, not that one was to be expected.
They are building a new club house and re numbering the holes for a new lay out of the course. Give this course a few months and it should be in better shape.
