Sad Conditions
This little 9 hole course has two remarkably different sets of tees that make it feel like an 18. There are several very difficult holes in each configuration.
The greens are in good condition and the bumkers appear to be fine. Otherwise, the course is in pretty sad shape.
I have to say that the young man in the pro shop set a new standard for friendliness and helpfulness. Kudos to him.
Great little course!
Very friendly staff and course is playable for all levels of golfers. Would definitely play again!
Pretty good 9 holes
Nice course. 9 holes but it feels longer can play a lot as par 5. Little slow in front of us but it’s a public course.
Course condition
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the condition of the course and lack of variety from green to green. The Tee boxes were a mess and fairways looked and felt more like open pasture. The view and location could certainly be better used with some needed upkeep.
Golf at Oak Knoll is Challenging
I golf Oak Knoll frequently. It's a good course but will inflate your scoring average significantly given the length, positioning and slopes that typify most of the holes. If you don't get the ball at least 250+ yards out even on the long par-fours and in the right position for your second, your headed to at least bogeytown. Holes 4, and 6 have creek hazards that are pretty much hidden from the tee box. Course is a nine-hole layout with two sets of tee boxes that change of the experience on the second nine.
Good course but rustic relative to the manicured courses such as seen in Southern California.
Expect great variation from hole to hole with many sloped fairways and hidden creeks fronting greens. Also a great seasonal variation with lush Velcro grass in the spring and long running near hard pan fairways in the fall.
Nice course for the price.
Nice course for the price. A good walk, hilly for about half of the course. Fun to play, and get some exercise.
Good Deal for the Money
For the money ($8 pp walking rate) plus $11 pp for a cart ($38 total for two) is a reasonably good deal for this course.
Nothing extra special about the course but the online deal is worth a try. We drove in from Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls for a days outing.
Great 9 Hole Course
Great course to walk. Course in nice shape considering the drought
Great little course.
Only 9 holes, but challenging. Nice to walk and get a workout, but the last few holes are hilly. Excellent value for the price. Very friendly, accommodating staff.
Excellent Value
This can be a surprisingly challenging course. The greens are in excellent shape. The fairways are green and in good shape considering how hot July has been. The rough is dry and hard as it does not receive water in the summer. A great value!
