Slow Play - Terrible Cart Paths
I booked my tee time based on Golf Now showing approximately 6 tee times in a row. So I assumed it was wide open so we shouldn't be there all day and night. We get to the course and on hole 1 there is a fivesome on the green - a foursome on the fairway another fivesome on tee box and a foursome and threesome waiting to tee off and guess what there are not carts for anyone that isn't on the tee box. The round took well over 5 hours after we finally teed off about 20 minutes late. I would have never booked if the course didn't show so many available tee times. The course does not have cart paths everywhere but where they do they are AWFUL. We had a threesome in front of us of young kids drinking by the back nine they were almost 2 holes behind the group ahead of them. No one out there monitoring slow play. I usually play this course a few times a year but I am not sure I will be back.
Victory
Good course for the money greens are some of the nicest you can have on a Piblic course pace of play slow think they over book sometimes
Good course
Greens n fairways was good signs was to each hole was beat up but overall good course
great course
i love this track...would of given 5 stars every time if the cart paths were in better shape...only real complaint is the greens are sloped which makes the putting very difficult.. many times if your above the hole , no matter what if you miss the putt it will roll back down a good 10 feet or more, especially when its dry...the greens are like putting on a pool table.
so if you play try your hardest to keep the approach below the hole.
for the value this is the best course in south western PA.
Ouch!
Read prior posts regarding cart paths
and they were understated. Greens were exceptional and there were no “gimme’ putts. Value was exceptional!!!!
Wet ugly day but great course
Course was pretty wet but greens were still fast and true. The only problem with this course is the blind shots. After 3 times playing I am starting to understand where to hit the ball.
Nice course but
This is a very nice course, layout is good, t boxes, fairways and greens great condition and very fast greens. Only problem is this course has the number 1 worst cart paths that I have ever played. Book a round and then an appointment with you chiropractor.
Great shape for Fall golf
Tee boxes......beautiful
Fairways........ Beautiful
Greens......... Amazing
Cart paths....... My back still hurts
Blind shots. Too many
All in all a very nice course. Was worth the 1 hour drive.
Best Greens I have ever played on!
Cart paths in desperate need of repair, actually a bit dangerous in some areas.
Augusta like greens
the greens are immaculate, the staff are the best in the business, tip do not go above the hole.
Nice track!
Background- I’m use to playing mid-higher end courses around the Indy area.
Family owned course- friendly accommodating staff, the food was excellent, the fairways have 90% recovered from the Summer heat the area suffered, the greens were slick and I’m guessing a 10-11 on the Stimpmeter. Rolled true, fast, and smooth, the course’s layout was good, pace of play was great- we tees at 0804 and replayed at 1230 after a GOOD cheeseburger and fresh cut fries.
Cons- the cart paths were bad, they encouraged us to travel where we could.when we could and they were re-doing some bunkers- understood.
Enjoy this gem.
Victory Hills
The drought and hot summer caused numerous bare spots but almost all courses in the area have the same issues. I have to commend the grounds crew and management...they have an extensive project under way to rebuild the sand bunkers on the course. (Unlike their competition Butler’s Golf Course) Victory Hills major drawback are the cart paths (or lack of). What they have looks (and feels) like a B52 carpet bombing.
The staff and price still makes worthwhile to play
This course is awful. The women checking me in was so ignorant I almost left and let them keep the money. She was so ignorant and short with me simply because I was younger it was absolutly insulting. Then they took my money for an additional 18 and then some old man cut me short by 4 holes and told me I had to come in because I was the last one left at 730 at night while there was plenty of time to finish. I wouldn't give this course or the personal another penny. The course is poorly maintained and the stage is pathetic at best. Save you time and money and go to butlers like everyone else. I can't say enough about how poorly I was treated, yet they had no problem taking my money and not letting me finish my round. The management here is completely inept and the rest of the staff clearly has no respect for the clientele nor the owners. Before you book Thai course, take you money and light it on fire, you will definitely get more out of it that way.
