Soggy
Nothing they could do about it as it rained all day Saturday. The pace was the best I have experienced in a while. Very busy but we barely waited, even on #2.
Staff was accommodating when most of my group cancelled at last minute because of cart path only.
Always enjoy playing this course
Ah the simplicity of an Alex Findlay design.
I've played quite a few of his courses and this one did not disappoint. There are a lot of elevation changes that leave you guessing which club to play. It's a good walk. Findlay used what was given and turned it into a challenge. Not real long but a lot of the shots made you stop and think. I liked it alot. The staff was friendly also.
Thrilled to see you enjoyed our Alexander Findlay designed course! We have lots of history here-there are rumors that his best friend Harry Vardon and later British Open champ Bob Locke played here! We appreciate you taking time to acknowledge our staff-they truly are a wonderful asset to the business and they share the passion for the game! If you are into the history, please check out in june the Golf Assoc, Philadelphia (GAP) video and article that will cover the history of the Manor. Thank you again, and we look forward to having you back at the Manor soon.

told to leave before the round was over, and closing time 45 min. away
.
We booked a tee time and teed off at 11:09, our appointed time. With the course closing at 3:00 according to the sign posted on the door, we figured we had plenty of time. We were approached at 2:13 by the young man sent out to us. He stated we must leave, and get off the course. We were kind of alarmed at this request, I asked if we could just finish up, he said no, we must leave now. Well i said, can we just finish the hole? With a 40 yard pitch to the 17th green, thought it wasn't much to ask. After all, I did pay to play 18, and the course was supposed to be open till 3. Nope, he said, have to go now, the owner has some Christmas family event or something she wants to get to. Not blaming him, he was just the messenger. Considering we were almost done with the 17th, and a short par 3 18th, we would have been done in 20 minutes anyway, getting in well before the posted closing time. i believe the decision to close earlier was made after our tee time, and we were out on the couse. But we were forced off the course at a whim. Considering we were on schedule for a 3 1/2 hour round, it's hardly dawdling, or out of the ordinary kind of time.
Can you see why a paying customer would be a bit annoyed? I feel some compensation of some sort is in order. contacted the owner, all i got was whining and staement saying she doesnt make any money from GlofNow customers.Being forced to leave like that leaves a customer feeling slighted and upset.
better courses nearby, don't play here.
For our valued golfers reading this review-this next statement is for you. "DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ" This statement sums up what was originally presented here by Tim Wahl, and then I realized he actually edited it and posted a second time. Tim had a 'hot deal' tee time on christmas eve at 11;09-true. There was originally a sign on the door with posted hours open until 3pm-TRUE. It was only a twosome booked, no other tee times after him, and a gap before him with no other golfers on the course between 12 and 3pm, except their twosome. My staff informed them at the counter that we would be closing at 2pm-and with only 2 golfers, a three hour round at this course is accomplished every day by many of our golfers. There was also another customer in the pro shop who affirmed this group was told to be in by 2pm on Christmas eve. I was on property, sent my staff out at 2:18 pm to ask them to finish the course, They did vacate, my staff said they did not give them a hard time about it, and I heard nothing further until an email at 6:47 pm on Dec 24 and I responded at 9:40pm ( his original review said he heard nothing from the owner and that I must be laughing all the way to the bank). I indicated that he would need to talk to Golfnow about the booking since it was a hotdeal, He responded a day later via email, I decided a better resolution may be to call him directly. He was busy, could not take the call, and I did hear from GolfNow to confirm we closed the course and we did confirm. GolfNow said they they would take care of him. I am thinking this was resolved appropriately, but then an unprofessional review appeared here, I did attempt to call one additional time, no answer. Tim, I value your patronage and if a truthful, professional, direct approach was utilized, I would have been more inclined to assist you in resolving this in a different manner. The Manor is my passion and I always strive to provide the best experience possible for golfers. I also realize in any business that as much as we strive, we may not bat 1000, so I am always open and willing to speak directly to customers about their experiences. If you wish to speak further, I again invite you to call me at your convenience at 610-334-8690. Cheryl Heckman, Owner
Kicked off the course
We payed to play 18, course posted t9 close at 3 pm. On the 17 th green at 2:13, we were told to pickup our balls and get off the course. Apparently, the owner decided to close an hour earlier, after we started our round. Commented in an email, she doesn’t make any money on go.f now tee times, so I guess we weren’t entitled to play our whole round, we were lowly golf now customers. Pro shop locked up, no chance for a discussion in person. This place is poorly managed, go somewhere else.

A challenging landscape
I really like playing Manor. The dips and elevation changes make the holes play harder than they appear, especially at the overall distance of the course. As others have mentioned, some of the cart paths have seen better days. But the grass and bunkers are very well kept. Also, tee boxes are nice and groomed but can also have unevenness much like the fairway you’re hitting into.
We appreciate you choosing to play Manor Golf and taking the time to provide your review! Glad to hear you had a great round, and while we have improved cart paths over the past few years-we will be continuing to improve more in the fall. We hope to see you back! Cheryl Heckman, Owner

Great service, good course
Very good experience, overall. Always feel welcomed at this course. The staff make good efforts to get you on the course, promptly. Even when there are many golfers playing, the staff does a good job spacing out the groups so the pace of play is good.
