Valley Country Club
First time playing this semi-private country club. It has a feel and look of a private facility. The pro shop, beverage cart attendee, and restaurant staff were tremendously friendly and accommodating. Five different set of tee boxes to challenge every skill level. Fairway and greenside bunkering were clean and placed to capture the errand shot off the tee or into the green. The course is well marked and right in front of you to play your pending shot. The course ranger kept the pace of play moving. Enjoyed cocktails and lunch after the round from the large deck area viewing the golf course. Would recommend this course.
Track is boring
The course was in excellent shape, but the course itself seems kinda redundant. I used the same club on three of the four par 3’s. Par 4’s are similar as well, 385-405 for most of them. Excellent shape though!!!
Once is gone
Cart path and Fairway were horrible, many holes, uneven
Members are so rude ! While we are 4 players in tee box, they just rushed their carts over. They could not wait for their turn !
We ordered foods before 25’ in advance but still waited 20 more minutes. Manager couldn’t how to say sorry !
Great experience
Valley has come a long way from when I last played. Course was in great shape. Greens were fast, but true. Pace of play was phenomenal. Teed off at 9:01 was done at 1:01. Didn’t try any of the amenities, but from Steve who checked us in, to getting a few Gatorade’s on the turn were all awesome. Would definitely go back.
Fun day
Fairly interesting layout, course was in good shape overall
The best course in RI - Public or Private
Outstanding course conditions and layout. Friendly and knowledgeable staff - from groundskeepers to Waite staff to front office/clubhouse professionals - beyond my expectations.
We enjoyed playing the course. The course is in very good condition from tee boxes fairways and greens. The greens are challenging and rather fast but true. The golf carts are equipped with gprs that are very helpful.it was an enjoyable experience.
Great deal for the price
Fairways have an issue other than that course in great shape
Enjoyable
Most of the previous reviews seem right on. Course was wet but well roped off where needed and at least the ball still rolled. The greens were very good, can only imagine how fast they will be when things dry out and they are cut.. The fairways seemed better then previous reviews only a couple were spotty. Pace of play was great and attendants quite friendly. found the value to be good as I paid less than what i pay to play at the public course my son is a member of and it is much better.
Could not play.
My foursome arrived a half hour before tee time and we were told at that time that there were no carts. None of us were prepared to walk but we asked if they had push carts and they had all been given out already. We had no choice but to take a refund and not play. From what we saw it looked like the course was in great shape. Hopefullt be able to go back and play another time.
Valley Country Club
Greens were in excellent shape. Different configurations provided various challenges. The staff at the pro shop, on the course and at the restaurant were all top notch. Looking forward to playing and dining there again.
Can’t beat it
$50 on a holiday??? Sign me up! Glad to see they have rescued MOST of the fairways that were lost last year and the tablets in the cart are a nice addition! My only negative remark…? The course needs more signage to direct you where you’re trying to go. Gets very confusing in some spots on the course.
