The Valley at Eastport Golf Club
About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult. The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Decent Value
Got out early as a 2-some. Got behind 2 people that let us play through on the front. No one around on the back so we flew. Course has water and sand challenges. Playing for the first time it was a bit difficult to judge where and how far to hit off the tees. Tees in rough shape. Fairways had some grass but lots of areas that are bare. Course gets lots of play and little water. Greens were slick but ran pretty true. Might go back some day.
Greens were in bad condition.
Greens seemed to be recovering from aeration. Many bad spots, dead or diseased spots on greens. Like putting on a peg board.
First exprience to Valley
Really nice golf, The green needs improvment. The design of this golf is really nice and a lot of challenge with water. I will come back 😀
Friday Golf
Like playing this course. Location is good for me. Disappointed in the greens especially this time of year. The Bermuda should not be this thin and stressed out. The summer is going to make them vulnerable . Not sure why greens are like this coming out of a relatively mild winter. Hoping for the best
Good playing for the money
Surprisingly good value for the money even if some of the greens are burned.
Short course, it will challenge your mid and short irons play.
Save Your Money
We had a 7:30 tee time and 5 groups were on the first tee. No starter or ranger. The course needs A LOT of maintenance and TLC. Very few rakes available for the sand traps. The greens need to be rolled. The fairways are very spotty. The course layout is quirky and often times you need to wear a helmet because several holes are close together. You need a GPS because of the many water holes. There are 70 courses in the Myrtle Beach area and 69 are better than Valley at Eastport Golf Club.
Just ok
Starter not very friendly…no interaction other than gietting the cart. No information about course or anything! Tee boxes and greens are very worn. Big backup on 1st tee. Moved along fairly well after that though
Valley at East port is great
We had a wonderful time playing at The Valley at Eastport. The pace of play was pretty good even when the course was packed. We enjoyed the layout and the conditions were good, although we were unfortunate that the greens had recently been plugged. This made green reading difficult but we all said we wish we could be back to play in a couple of weeks. I would recommend playing here to anyone. Play the correct tee for your ability and I believe you'll have a great time
Bang for the buck
Nice course, staff super friendly and helpful. Greens in great shape.
Cart paths could use some upgrades.
Challenging course
A number of water holes make this course challenging. It’s in good condition. Some of the greens were bumpy and a bit rough Overall we had a great time and would go back again.
