Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.

Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult. The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

An average golfers perspective

Nice course. If you're looking for the longest yardage course this probably isn't the place for you. I golf about once a month and shoot in the one teens so if you're looking for a golf PRO reveiew don't bother reading this. The course is laid out pretty well, the greens are protected by a lot of sand, so make sure you bring a wedge (or two) there are plenty of chances to hit out of the woods when you slice a ball off the tee and also clearly marked water hazards for the few blind (at least from my second shots perspective) shots that you can't tell where it starts. All in all it's a very nice course. I can't say its the nicest I've ever played at (nimacolin in PA) but I'd say top 3. Greens were FAST, pace of play was great (I played alone, and played through 3 very friendly foursomes) if I were back in town I'd surely try to play here again, plus the price was certainly right for as good of shape as this course was in.

Really nice golf, The green needs improvment. The design of this golf is really nice and a lot of challenge with water. I will come back 😀

Friday Golf

Like playing this course. Location is good for me. Disappointed in the greens especially this time of year. The Bermuda should not be this thin and stressed out. The summer is going to make them vulnerable . Not sure why greens are like this coming out of a relatively mild winter. Hoping for the best

Good playing for the money

Surprisingly good value for the money even if some of the greens are burned.

Short course, it will challenge your mid and short irons play.

Save Your Money

We had a 7:30 tee time and 5 groups were on the first tee. No starter or ranger. The course needs A LOT of maintenance and TLC. Very few rakes available for the sand traps. The greens need to be rolled. The fairways are very spotty. The course layout is quirky and often times you need to wear a helmet because several holes are close together. You need a GPS because of the many water holes. There are 70 courses in the Myrtle Beach area and 69 are better than Valley at Eastport Golf Club.

Just ok

Starter not very friendly…no interaction other than gietting the cart. No information about course or anything! Tee boxes and greens are very worn. Big backup on 1st tee. Moved along fairly well after that though

Valley at East port is great

We had a wonderful time playing at The Valley at Eastport. The pace of play was pretty good even when the course was packed. We enjoyed the layout and the conditions were good, although we were unfortunate that the greens had recently been plugged. This made green reading difficult but we all said we wish we could be back to play in a couple of weeks. I would recommend playing here to anyone. Play the correct tee for your ability and I believe you'll have a great time

Challenging course

A number of water holes make this course challenging. It’s in good condition. Some of the greens were bumpy and a bit rough Overall we had a great time and would go back again.

Fun Course

I enjoyed the round. For this time of year, it was in pretty good condition. A couple of greens had some bad spots but it didn't affect play. The layout is fun with a great variety of holes some tight tee shots, some wider target areas. Short holes where you have to think a bit and longer holes (the finishing par 4 18th is a beast). Pace of play was reasonable for this area. I will definitely play here again on future trips.
