The Valley at Eastport Golf Club
About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult. The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

A great test of your golf skills
Signed up as a single hoping to get paired up with someone. Got paired with two great guys one local and one from Vermont. We agreed to play from the white tees, although not a real long course, It proved more than a challenge for me than my playing partners who were out driving me 40 to 50 yards off the tee. I just turned 70 and would recommend the senior (yellow) tees, for a more enjoyable experience if you're not long off the tee. Course is in great shape, greens roll true, and there is plenty of traps and water hazards to keep you on your toes!!
The greens were very bumpy and rough. Not worth the money.
Avoid this course
The greens were in horrible shape and they were punching them as we played. The punch machine really chewed up the edges of the greens, but the greens that hadn't been punched were bad too. I come down to MB every year at this time and this is the third worst conditioned course that I have played here. The other two have since closed, so this is the worst. Maybe it gets better as the season progresses, but I wouldn't play it again at this time of year even if I was comped.

Found course in fair condition. Staff very efficient and cordial
Lazy staff
We showed up and the gentleman was more concerned with his cell phone than helping us. He was rude and not helpful at all. Noguidance on where to start - just go get the cart. The cart path is in horrible condition / feels like off-roading. After finishing golfing, the gentleman yet again was on his phone and we just left our bags and cart there - no thank you from the man - not concerned with helping anyone. Disappointed becuz if a student or younger person was working at the desk and on the phone I’m sure this man would have complained. Very poor customer service.
The course condition was not as described. The desk clerk was sarcastically rude indicating we would never finish before dark and suggested 9 holes e
Run away fast. Total disgrace to golf in general. Not friendly and conditions needed to improve to be considered bad. Desk clerk underwhelmed from the start. We were told we could only play 9 holes. Good thing because it was all we could take.
Long Day
Course was in very poor condition. On one hole there were 5 groups of 4. No Marshall’s to be seen. Course was packed and very slow round. I played it in the past and it was in decent shape. Not any more.
Easy 9-hole with the family
I was looking for an easier course for my family (5 players). The course is shorter than most courses on the strand. I like the open layout with room for error, especially since I was playing with 25+ handicappers. The check in was easy and friendly employee. It started raining and option were clearly explained. There is no liquor at bar, beer and wine only. Overall, a good experience. Course is fun and not too challenging for average golfer.
Valley at Eastport
Course was in overall decent shape for this time of year. Greens a bit bumpy as one would expect but fairly quick. Layout was semi challenging but fair. Nice staff.
I don't recommend this course
We'd driven by this course several times since buying in the area and were intrigued by the layout. But as we played (only the front nine) we saw poor conditionsthroughout. The greens were fast but extremely bumpy and lumpy. The layout was tricked up and many holes looked to be carved out of space where there is no room for a hole. On the ninth hole we had to drive into golfers teeing off on one. Overall poor condition from greens, to fairway to rough. The cart paths are mostly dirt and rough. We won't be back because there are too many resonably priced golf courses in the region that are in much better condition.
Good course for $
Always find this course somewhat challenging, although not too long
