#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

Excellent condition
Course in excellent condition for end of summer in NC.
Nice layout
Greens in great condition. Nice classic course. We really enjoyed it.
Pretty course
Course was well maintained. Guys were mowing and trimming everywhere. Tee boxes and greens in good shape. Some nice Marsh views. Cart paths a little rough in places. Couldn't load carts at car or take to range. Cart guys and pro shop guys were good. Saw drink cart several times but only took cash.
great course and conditions
Conditions were the best we have had in North Myrtle Beach area. Fairways, greens and tees were all in excellent shape. we had a rain storm that stopped us for about 20 minutes, but the fairways and greens drained very well. Traps were a problem, but I expect that after that much rain. the course is beautiful with a nice challenge and variety of holes.
Still lovin it
Layout is solid. Course with rare exception is in great shape. Bunkers washed out, but we have had tons of rain in last two weeks. Greens roll good at moderately quick pace. Staff friendly and responsive. Great QPR. This will become a go to course for me now that I have a home in the area
Fun to play and beautiful as well!!
Excellent course and a wonderful staff as well. Had bad weather and was delayed for a couple hours due to rain. Staff was wonderful in making sure everyone was taken care of and very hospitable for those of us who waited out the weather. Course is beautiful and challenging but was forgiving enough to still allow you to play free. Even after the heavy rain the course was still excellent to play with the exception of a few tee boxes which were a little bare to say the least. Would definitely play again and recommend.
Great shape and a great design!
Overall, the Pearl (west/east) was in great condition with the exception of the tee boxes. Boxes were very barren of grass. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape and the greens rolled exceptionally well! Staff and clubhouse plus amenities are top notch! Unlike some in the area this course gives you plenty of opportunity to tee off with driver.
Everything was great until the rain storm hit. It was raining so hard that we stopped playing and only were able to play 9 holes . The course was flooded
Inconsistent Greens
The West/East courses are well maintained, food fairway/rough demarcation, but the greens were inconsistent on both nines. The first few greens of the west course were slow and all of us left putts short. Then the next few were fast, and the putts took off. After that they were slow, and sometimes not completely cut.
Good course, good people running front desk, carts and inside beverages.
Greens Still Recovering
First time on course playing West to North course. Greens had been aerated in recent weeks and were okay but still smoothing out. Discounted tee times for the last week ($50) so a good value. Very expansive spread out course. Many of the blue and white tee boxes were very barren. Some of the fairways had large patches of thin or brown turf. One of those courses where some of the hole layouts were a bit of a mystery in figuring out best hole management strategy but overall a fair but challenging course.
Put some water cooler on the course.
Play with the temperature in the 90's with a matching humidity. No water on the golf course, only a cooler at the turn that was nearly empty at 10:00am. Saw the beverage cart on hole 9 and 15. Please put water out there.
Good Course, High Price
The golf course layout is excellent. We played West to East, which according to the scorecard is the second-most challenging 18 holes. It was as-advertised in that regard. From the blue tees, the course layout was challenging, requiring good shot control and also some length at times, if you want to really attack it. The course condition was good, but I'm glad we got a "hot deal" and didn't pay the full price of around $100. The course was not worth that kind of money. The greens were consistent and true, but slow (7 on the meter, maybe?). I wish I had played better, because I did enjoy the layout and course design. Plenty of holes with length required, but also plenty of shorter, "gettable" holes requiring strategy.
The Pearl is a Real Gem
Perfect weather, great course, wonderful condition, and best of all, the delight of having friendly, helpful people who run the place. While the cost is a little higher than local competitors, the value is much greater. Much. Don't miss the opportunity to play here - must be one of the top ten courses in all of the Myrtle Beach area.
Greens good, fairways good , rest you can tell is a money issue. Good overall though and having three nines gives variety.
