The Club at Pine Forest
About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Pace was slow but it was a busy day. Took 5 hours to play 18.
Pace of play
5 1/2 hour round and that was with 2 of our group dropping out at 16 due to pace. Had 5 groups on or at hole waiting multiple times.
If you like a challenge
Tough course, especially from longer tees. Thought the condition of the course was better than most for this time of year. The greens had some poanna but rolled smooth. Expect that as they fully transition they will get even better. Fairways are showing good signs of filling in, still several unfilled divots although each cart has two sand bottles. Great value for money. Sure you can spend 3-4 times more and find a course that might be in better condition but you’ll be hard pressed to find a tougher challenge, in terms of layout and demanding second shots. Fairways are more that ample for keeping the ball in the short stuff but BEWARE water lurks everywhere.
Great value for what I paid to play here. It was cart path only which given all the rain we had was appropriate. The greens are not in very good shape but hopefully will improve as the temperatures warm up. I will definitely try this course again when it drys out.
Hit straight.
Had a beautiful afternoon of golf. The course still has a lot of winter kill grass especially in the rough. The back nine has much more in play water hazards. Multiple tie boxes for all levels of play. Would definitely play this course again.
This course is the worst course that I’ve played on in months
This course absolutely sucked, the fairways were full of tractor tire tracks, Mud, everywhere, bare spots throughout the fairway and rough. The greens were like putting in a gravel driveway between the dead spots and half assed repair. It was just a horrible experience. Especially since they charge $61 when you can go to Crowfield and play for 44 and it’s a wonderful course, I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone
After Rain Watered
After heavy rain
Waters all over
Other than that Really enjoyed
Great Course
Very reasonable, and fun course. Would love to see a cart driving around with drinks and or snacks. Other than that I love this course and go just about every weekend.
