Tough greens, rough cart driving but beautiful mountain course
Every staff member here was very nice! The conditions of the greens and fairways were great but even half a foot off the fairway, deep pot holes everywhere. I played on a holiday weekend so pace was a little slow but still good. The greens were insanely unpredictable and generally ultra fast. I would come back if I ever stayed in Big Bear again.
Fun 9 hole mountain course
Course was in good condition and staff was friendly.
The greens are very undulated and the par 5’s are reachable in 2. Pace of play was a bit slow when I was there on a random weekday but nothing too bad. Beautiful course
Beautiful blue skies
Had a beautiful bluebird day and course was fun to play. A couple of elevated tees, chipping up and over the creek to land on the green made a good challenge for all.
Great conditions, poor pace
A little more than a 2 and a half hour round. Group in front was extremely slow and spent their whole time looking for balls - doesn’t help that there is thick long rough which made finding balls difficult.
Course layout is fairly straightforward. Greens were fast and broke hard which was tough.
Price on the steep side but you don’t really have any other options up here.
4 star is place was better but 3 star round for me.
Beautiful day at bear mountain
It was a awesome day of golf conditions were just great. Teamed up with two gentleman for a fore some it was a good day. The clubhouse had some good food to eat.Would recommend this to my friends.
Fun course to bat around some balls.
Being a 9 hole course that seems to encourage all comers to the game this course is ideal for those that want to get a few holes in and hit wedges and irons farther than they ever have because of the altitude. Some narrow holes some wide open. Love that I saw more couples and women on the course here than I do at normal 18 hole venues which is good for the game. If you bring a relaxed mountain vibe to the course you're sure to have a good time like I did!!
Fast play and fast greens
I play off the red tee so I was so happy to see the dock that you hit off straight over the water and up onto the green Fantastic wonderful views all around. The clubhouse grill has scrumptious food and a great selection of beverages. A wonderful day overall would recommend and plan to play golf again here.
Excellent Course Conditions
Greens were awesome. A little fast, but rolled true. Fairways were in great condition. Will play again.
