Course need makeover!!

I shouldn't complain when me and my buddies only pay $15 each to play 18 holes, but the honest truth is that most all of the holes need some kind of attention or makeover. My first time when i was there back in April the greens and fairways didnt look good, many dead spots on fairway and greens and sand traps were unplayable, i thought maybe its because of all the rain they had. So i went back Tuesday hoping it looks better this time, but i was disappointed again. Still there were dead spots on fairways, sand traps needed mayor attention, but greens are in better condition then before. Overall course layouts are nice, greens are OK, fairways need some kind of maintenance, but I would not pay full price to play this course.

Needs attention

Bunkers has a lot of pebbles in them. Fairways have a lot of erosion going on. It has rained a lot this year so I will let them slide on these issues. Challenging course and fantastic layout. I asked to hit balls prior to my round and they said they were out of balls! Not in a hurry to return.

Great course

A wonderful day of golf. Caswell Pines is a gem and a thoroughly enyoyable track. The staff was gracious and the course was in good shape. Tee boxes were full as well as the fairways. Greens were struggling a bit due to all the rain and the sand traps had been all washed out but the course more than made up for the downfalls. It takes me an hour to get there but I would definitely go again.

Well worth the trip

Caswell Pines is a little ways off the beaten path, but well worth the effort. Even though the course was very wet after some extremely rainy weather it played beautifully. There was no standing water and fairways and greens were in very good condition. Pace of play was excellent and the groups ahead were willing to let me play through since I was a single (not my normal experience at many courses). The pro shop attendant was very friendly and sent me right out onto the course. I really like not having to wait for the appointed tee time, if possible.

Great hidden country course

The course was in great condition. Defined fairways, tough rough, and very true greens. Some tough holes and some a little simpler. I enjoyed the height elevation changes on a few holes as well as some great scenic locations. My only complaint was that the bunkers were all rocky. Too many small rocks and not enough sand. Overall I really enjoyed the course and will be going back at some point.

Very Enjoyable

Staff inside and out are always very friendly, only paid $13.00 for a course that resembles the Pinehurst look with all the pines. food inside is always great also, the cheeseburger is a must! Thanks again Golfnow.. Tim
