Simple, but Enjoyable
I play at this course once or twice a month when my home course is busy or hosting an event and have done so for almost a decade.
Overall, the course itself has improved a lot over the last few years and the renovations they've been doing over that time have come out very well. It's a very easy course with wide fairways, short holes, large greens, easy to read breaks, and there's not a terrible amount of trouble and is very forgiving on most holes as long as you don't tend to miss right off the tee. It's honestly one of my favorite places to go when I want to spend time working on my game with clubs other than my driver.
Pace of play can be a little hit and miss as there are pretty prominent peak hours. If it's not during peak hours it's usually pretty open. I've played 18 in an hour and a half there multiple times, but its definitely more of a beginners course compared to others in the area so it can be slow if there's others in front of you.
But, most people on the course are super friendly and are considerate of others and the folks in the pro shop are great as well!
Really nice course and reasonably priced. The staff are great too. I really enjoy playing Long Hollow.

long hollow is a great municipal course. the course is open but green pin placement does not make par a sure thing. the greens are great, the staff is courteous and pace of play is good. The city of Gallatin is lucky to have such a great facility.
