Worth the Tome & Money
Staff were excellent. It was my first time at the course (visiting from out of town), the staff had a regular to pair up with me. The golfer gave me the history of the course and he was quite entertains and made the time much more enjoyable. Also, if you never played there before the course has some fun challenges and the golfer made me aware of them. I needed them. The green need some work but it was worth the money. Thank you for the staff and the lawyer I played with.
Robert and the team are amazing. Good leadership and truly value people over process. I will be going here for a very long time.
Great value for the cost
Extremely friendly staff, great pace and not over booked (on a Monday), well manicured fairways but greens could use some work. Great value overall for the cost.
Save it for beginners
I knew from the price that this was a course that had probably seen better days. Understatement. It wasn't really well marked, so I'm glad I could see people in front of me as they made their way to the next hole. Cart paths were non-existent, and driving on the "fairways" was VERY bumpy. Greens were in really bad shape and not really typical greens. More like the fairway grass had been shorn down to represent a green,. The holes are very short, and I ended up playing from the white tees because the reds are ridiculously short. Which means this might be the kind of course you bring a young or beginning golfer to just to allow them to hack around and get a feel for swinging the club. It's only 9 holes, too, so not a big investment of time or money.
The Greens are getting better!!!
Second time playing this course and my attitude is changing! The Greens are getting way better and the grass on the fairways is really nice. Quickly becoming my favorite course for a short 9 ! And my score improved by 6 strokes. Awesome place to play.
Fun course with friendly staff
We had a great time, our first time at this course. The staff were super friendly. The bathrooms were clean, there was a good cook in the clubhouse who will fix you up! The course was fun and beautiful, very reasonable price. We took some new players with us, so we enjoyed not being pushed or having to rush through the course. It could use a few signs for directions but we figured it out. We will definitely go back.
This is a hidden gem
Me and my friends stumbled across this course and have loved it. The staff is great. We are rarely rushed but it is an easy course so there is the occasionally overqualified golfer that we let pass us. The greens are in good shape but not all are perfect.
Even though this is what I would call an easy course if you cannot drive consistently straight there is not much room for error on many holes so you will loose a ton of balls to the bluff or woods.
Fun course just needs a little TLC
The greens need help, weeds messed up my putts several times on the greens.
My first time.
Being a student of the craft, this was actually my 4th course, first city course.I found the course simple and enjoyable. The green had berm sun- baked, however, it was nice for the price. Tell the city to invest a little more money into the greens. I'm be back!
Great beginners course
I loved playing this course! It was simple and almost a free for all which is nice for beginners. It was a great value and you really pay for what you get so ignore the golf snobs that left bad reviews. The course staff were friendly and I will be back!
First time at Riverside
Very friendly one man staff - he needs to be paid more than whatever he gets!
The tee boxes are horrible, some complete mud.
The greens are tiny and actually pressed grass. Very resistant and nearly impossible to hit straight on.
