Logan River Golf Course is two things -- gorgeous and dangerous. The gorgeous half consists of the wild settings and solitude that comprise each hole. The dangerous half lurks in the marshes and thick grasses which boarder the fairways. Bring extra balls.

The Logan River flows through the golf course and fishermen are often found on it's shores. The course construction creates the illusion that the tees, fairways and greens have risen up from the floor of the riverside wetlands and ponds.
Water and waste areas come into play everywhere. Several of the holes require first and second shots over hazards. One par 5 even has an island fairway.
But, the same terrain that brings fear to the golfer is the same scenery which makes this course one of the best. Even though the Utah Golf Authority has never played a resort plantation course in the swamps of the South, we can't imagine that they'd be much prettier or challenging than Logan River.

Fabulous Day

This is a hidden gem up in northern Utah. The course was in outstanding condition. It’s short but demanding target style layout. The greens were nice and the rough was extremely thick if you missed the fairway. We had a great time!

Wonderful

I found this golf course to be a challenging layout with plenty of different shots encountered. I was amazed at the course condition considering it had been covered in snow for 6 months and just opened for the season. The grass was so green! The tees, fairways and greens were all good. Plenty of ball washers. Driving range was good as was the practice putting green. It was a good experience.

We won’t return

This golf course is beautiful. The only thing wrong with it is the unorganized and rude staff. The pace of play is horrible. We have paid to golf there 3 days and each day could only complete 9 holes. They were allowing singles and doubles to tee off at 10 causing long waits at each hole. The staff also turn the sprinklers on at the tee box as we were teeing off. The water hit my husband right in the face full force. Needless to say that was the last straw. We have learned our lesson and will not return.

Great round

Logan River GC is a unique course that offers the proverbial risk-reward type of golf; the course isn’t necessarily long, but the tree-lined fairways and water hazards add uniqueness and require strategy; this is a fun course that beginners should avoid, but the lack of courses in the Logan area makes this course an all-skill-level course which delays the pace of play; I enjoy the course and look forward to playing it each year.

Slow Sunday round

It seems that every course has a slower pace of play on Sundays this season due to social groups getting out for a 5-hour excursion; today was no different than any other Sunday round I have played since March of this year at any course I have played; additionally most courses either don’t have a marshall to keep groups moving along or allowing faster groups to play through OR they they don’t have a marshall on the course which seems more prevalent; Logan River was in great shape all around the course, but we were called to the tee box 15 minutes earlier than our registered tee time without notifying us upon check-in; the course is very challenging and provides the use of all clubs in the bag; it is a fun course and will be revisited again.

great place to play

I had a great time playing for the first time. It was not super busy so I could relax and play a game without worrying about the players behind me!

Dry greens, tough putting, good round

Logan River GC is a favorite of our group, and it wasn’t surprising that Father’s Day was quite busy and therefore had a slow pace of play for the front nine; the good news is that many groups in front of us only played nine holes, and we were able to play through a group in #10 that then allowed us to play through another group in #11; thereafter, we caught up to a group in #15 that was playing a 2-person scramble that held us up briefly until they realized there was finally a group behind them.

The course was in good condition, but the drought and hot weather have affected the overall course some; the fairways were pretty good, but the greens were pretty dry and unreceptive; the staff was friendly, and we will return to play here again.

Nothing Special!

Just an average course.
I played three of the "Top 10 Utah Public Golf Courses" this week and this was easily the worst. Was surprised it was on this list and next time will not make the 45 minute drive up there.
