Got to play La Costa Legends last weekend. It was in amazing condition and played much more difficult than I expected. The par 3's are all challenging and fair. The greens were a great blend of firm and fast.

Great layout, but it was cart path only because of rain two days before. But it was still beautiful course. Would definitely recommend it.

What is called Omni La Costa is a resort in Carlsbad offering two 18 hole courses: Legends and Champions. I played Legends, where an undulating terrain is nicely landscaped throughout an interesting and moderately challenging course. At 6300+ yds from the white tees, it presents numerous strategy-requiring approaches to generally well kept greens, which are difficult to read, of course. The fairways had some drainage problems, as there were muddy areas even a week after the last rain.

Staff is very accommodating, but it took way too long for clubs to get from drop-off to course on arrival and vice versa on departure.

Overall, Legends at the Omni La Costa Resort provides an enjoyable golf experience despite one's usually lousy play. But so do many alternative local courses at less than half the cost.

Offcourse and on, conditions were catering. Course layout and challenge was disappointing. Even with the ''Hot' deal cost plus the $10 reward coupon, total cost at $60, I wouldn''t seek it out again. Many other SD courses offer better layouts, better views, at much less of the price. At the $130 golfnow normal morning charge, ridiculously overpriced. .

Course was beautiful. It was less than two weeks after overseeding so cart path only. Not a big deal considering carts have GPS and you can get a good idea of yardage before heading to ball.

Greens had quite a few pock marks and should look and play great after they areate. Fairways are beautiful and were in carpet trimmed shape.

Easiest way to get clubs to cart is to drive them to the round about and drop them with the valet shack. Then you can park in the self park lot that is on your left as you enter the property.

You won't be disappointed with your round, fun and challenging course.

This was my first time playing here. Got lost on the way in. There is no signage to the golf course for some reason.

I was surprised at the condition of the course. I played in mid October after a week of sunny weather and had several balls semi plug. Seems to be getting overwatered. Green were in good condition though.

I purchased my discounted tee time through GolfNow for $70. I would have been seriously disappointed if I would have paid $170 which was the advertised price.

Just finished my round at Four Season Aviara. The course is in much better condition (although you pay for it). Overall just expected more from this course since it's at La Costa. The shops around the area are very nice however.

Special from GolfNow Hot Deals. Course back after aeration and overseeding. Rough was very high and wet. Fairways were wet in spots. Greens excellent for putting, only eighteen still showed holes. Was not aware that CART PATH ONLY for whole course and no provision for handicapped player exceptions. MUD SPOTS in a lot of areas of rough due run off and over-watering. Since it was pre-paid and I drove 70 miles, I was exhausted from all the additional walking.

This course is top notch apart from every time you get to the green you have multiple pitch marks waiting for you. This is not the green keepers fault but our fault as golfers for not repairing them. If when we arrive at the green we repair ours and one other the greens would be perfect which would be good for us and good for the green keepers. The green keeper wouldn't think that all golfers were dicks! So the next time we play repair our pitch marks and more because it is better for everybody.

Hard to believe this course was fully remodeled in the last few years. Vast majority of holes are uninteresting and lack character. Visually boring, very flat and has the feel of an upscale muni. Hard to believe this course is part of the famous La Costa resort. Warmup range was off mats only unless you are a member. Shameful number of unrepaired ballparks on greens. I fixed at least 3 ball marks other than my own on every green. Could have fixed many more. Not close to being value for money charged. Even with a large discount, the rate still seems too high.

Played the Champions course on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:30. I was the only person out and was able to fire through a round in less than 3 hours. The pace was incredible for my game. The course itself was in amazing condition, the greens were holding my shots and still rolling at a fast and true pace. Finished with an 81 on the scorecard, one of my best rounds! Looking to play again today

Bad experience. Pace was awful on a Tue PM. No rangers out enforcing pace. Had a 2:15 time for twosome. Starter wanted us to go behind a foursome who had a later time. It wasn't until I threw a fit did he realize how that made no sense. Greens were in bad shape. Good course lay out but for 100 bucks, i would rather play just about any other course in San Diego. Shame as I did like the facilities and I live 10 miles from it.
