Stansbury Park Golf Course
About
This golf course is located about 15 minutes west of Salt Lake City. As a whole the course is a tough challenge. Several holes require drives and/or second shots to be placed between water hazards on both sides of the fairway. Most of the par threes require a carry over water.
The greens tend to be fast and the ground hard which allows shots to roll on that land just in front of the greens. The course is always in good shape although there's a few patches of ratty grass.
The course layout is built in the middle of a housing development. There is nothing natural -- everything was designed and built. The course is flat with many lateral ponds as the main hazards. One good point is that the course side houses do not encroach upon the course like many housing development golf courses and OB rarely comes into play.
The course is usually open early in the season (February) and closes late (November). There is a small driving range and a practice green. The pro shop staff and the locals are friendly.

Nice greens
After years of poor greens they are starting to look top notch, as good as any course around.
Marshall on course
We were asked to pick up our pace of play because 3some was waiting on our 4some - we played the front nine in less 1 hr 45 min and total for 18 was about 3hr 40 min - we did as asked and sped up for less then 2 holes and was waiting on group in front of us the final 13 holes. MOST PEOPLE WOULD LOVE TO PLAY 18 In under 4 hrs people in clubhouse were AWESOME marshall on course not so much
Great Course
This was our first time on this course. It definitely won’t be our last! It’s a beautiful course! Well paced, challenging, and comfortable.
Sad
They have absolutely destroyed their golf course. Temp greens on holes. No sand in traps. Fairways gone and this is with the wettest spring in years.
So Sad
It is so sad what has happened to this golf course. 3 temp greens and no warning about them. It is unbelievable how bad the current management has let this course become. I’ve played here for years and now it is a complete disaster.
Rough winter affected course conditions
I have always enjoyed Stansbury Park GC, but this round was affected by the conditions brought on by the rough winter; tees, fairways, and greens were affected on many holes, including three holes with greens moved into the fairway; I still enjoyed my round having been allowed to play through seven groups which made the round play quickly; as course conditions improve, I expect it to return to bits normal quality and bring many players back; unfortunate weather that was unavoidable, so I wouldn’t recommend the course now and may take until late in the season before it is able to recover fully.
Wonderful Fall Golf Experience
I had a really fun time playing this course as the weather was amazing for November. The pace of play was the best I've seen for me all year. I was able to get 18 holes in within 3 hours. Friendly staff and great hard working maintenance crew.
Ground in repair
The whole course need a lot of repairs . Tee boxes need a lot of care. Greens were Burnt in a lot of places.a lot of weeds on the greens. Over all the course needs a lot of work.
They should pay us to play
We haven’t been to this course in over 20 years. Decided we would play since we thought the rate was pretty good. Sorry to say, it was in horrible shape. The greens had dead spots everywhere, the fairways too and the rough, the grass was so long, if you hit your ball in it, it was gone! Too bad they have not kept it up.
Decent course
The course had a good lay out and the fairways were nice. Some of the greens were in rough shape. The staff was very friendly. The pace of play was great, we never felt rushed. Overall it was a great round of golf.
Good round. Drought conditions
Stansbury Park GC is a popular community golf course with a steady regular customer base, and it provides a fun, challenging experience; however, due to the current drought, the course is in tough circumstances as witnessed by the greens, tee boxes, fairways, and the rough; the greens have a heavy yellowing with dry patches which is also evident on the tee boxes and fairways which affect how to play the course, and the sand traps are also affected by a lack of regular attention; additionally, we witnessed an 8-some (4 carts) playing a few holes behind us as well as a 5-some in front of us; it was an enjoyable round, but course conditions did make the play more challenging, in a less appealing manner.
