Happy with purchase
We both enjoyed the course. Thank you and would play it again.
A funky little course
Great fall day to shoot out to NCC.greens were really great shape.a bit faster on a few but typical in VT play.
Was a good play on the 9-11 holes I played .greens are in great shape this year fairways were in good shape as well.
Good play greens were playing well very medium run but better this year
very fun course
Such pleasant employees, very great experience. Always a good time at NCC.
nice course
had a nice afternoon with my wife here . the greens were in superb condition and medium-fast . though it is 9 holes has multiple tee boxes that make the front different than the back . staff was accommodating and friendly . the bar-restaurant prices very reasonable .it is 90 years old this year. i found it very interesting and fun.
Great layout
For a nine hole course this one is outstanding. Every hole has something interesting to it, the tabletop par 3 fourth and the second are particularly memorable. Great course well worth a visit.
Good day of golf
beautiful day, not to hot, not to cold, staff was friendly couldn't ask for a better day, will play again it is one of my favorite courses.
A Real Find
This was our first outing of the season and we didn't want to lay out a lot of money to struggle through relearning how to play. So, we jumped on this offer from Golf Now. Turns out, the course is less than 1/2 hour from where we're staying at Sugarbush. We could tell as we drove up that this was a nice, well-kept place and that we'd enjoy playing.
Because it's a nine hole and because they have it laid out as an 18, with varying tee boxes, etc., it can be a little claustrophobic if, say, you are playing 10 and someone is playing one, which is the same hole, but with tee boxes on opposite sides of the clubhouse.
But the course is in very good shape, and there's lots strategy involved, with many water hazards, a cliff tee shot, several uphill holes and so on. The people were very nice.
Biggest plus: the regular price is all you can play for $25 with a cart! We'll go back.
Countryside surprise
A surprisingly well maintained scenic course in the countryside /mountains with medium/fast greens ......" with no ball marks!!!" Although somewhat isolated, the drive of 30 miles one way was worth it as was the cost of green fees. There are mild elevation changes and the woodlands along the fairways(with almost no houses in sight) together with the mountainl scenery gives a very serene and peaceful ambience to enhance relaxation for you and your game. If you expect a big fancy oversized clubhouse, don't go here. As for me, I don't care one way or the other since I don't play golf in a clubhouse!
Decent 9 Hole Course
I am not real fond of 9 hole courses due to the backup that can occur off the 1st tee but the price and the layout make it worth while to play this course. The greens are faster than one would suspect for a course of this difficulty and the different tee boxes make that second nine easier to play at again.
Excellent Day for Golf
Was a great day for golf with a friend. Beautiful with the foliage all around.
Old School Classic
My wife and I played here twice last week . It was our first visit here. The course is short and fairly tricky. It is a 9 hole track with two sets of tees. It is fun to play but the pace of play is slow for a course so short. It took us 4.25 hours to play. There is no ranger encouraging pace of play. The greens are nice and putt true. Lots of o.b. and fairway conditions are just o.k. There is a pro shop and small bar and restaurant. No practice range, but there is a nice practice green. Very, very good value especially when we booked a "hot" deal and payed $11/pp for 18 with cart. We would return and play here again when in the area.
Got an excellent deal!
Picked up an excellent deal from golfnow which would have made any playing situation be just fine. I would not have been so happy had I paid full price. This course is "a little rough", at best. It had the craziest layout of front/back tees and it took a lot of holes before we really figured out which tees we were supposed to be using. Very confusing. Greens were very challenging. Cart paths were ROUGH. All in all, it was a fine day for the price. If you can get a deal, go for it!
Leave your cell phone in the car....
Having been a member at this course 25 years ago I was surprised by the changes in forward tee placements on 8 and 13. Overall this is a nice course and pretty well maintained. Other than a small amount of green kill it is in very good shape. We did experience a little slow play especially when a player in the group in front us was talking on his cell phone.
