Solid Course and An Easy Walk
First two-thirds of course are on flat terrain and part of sub-division. The last several holes are on hillier terrain and are the more memorable holes. All of the bunkers have been grassed over. Course is not one to travel a long way to play.
Good Greens--BUT
Greens were in good shape and putted true, but the fairways and tees need work--you'll get lots of roll. Interesting layout but fairly easy course to play. The course has no sand traps, but water does come into play on some holes. Noticed that a senior tee had been added, but its yardage is the forward tee on the scorecard. The forward tee was then moved forward on some holes and is not reflected on the scorecard. Good value though with hot deal. Great practice round.
Nice layout
Very nice layout and for the time of the year the course is in good condition. Grass just starting to green up, greens were medium speed but in very good shape. Had a nice enjoyable round
affordable and great day to play!
I enjoyed the hot deal for 13 bucks. Great value and great course to enjoyed on a beautiful day!
Spring Golf
For Spring weather the Esquire was in great shape. The course is fun to play.
Esquire country club review.
This course is my favorite course to play. Would recommend this course to anyone.
In better shape than the last time I played here
Even for January, the greens were in great shape. Fairways wee dead of course but still thick. We had a great time
Great December Day
We play this course often in the winter as it stays
dry longer than most in the area. Our 60 mile drive
was rewarded with excellent course conditions for
late December. Greens were in great shape as were
the fairways. Our twosome played 18 in just under
3 hours and finished with temp. in the mid 60s. No
complaints on a day like this in Dec.
Great Condition, moderate difficulty
The course is longer than most in this area. Other than that, the course is fairly easy with few hazards or heavily wooded areas. It was in great shape. I will play here again
Good Full Bag Course
Esquire is always in great condition. The greens have no blemishes at all. They are a touch on the slow side though. Fairways are impeccable Bermuda. Not sure why this course doesn't get more business. It is one of the best courses in the area. I think if the amenities were better then it might attract more clients. Overall it's a great course and always in good shape. Definitely worth a try.
WV Hidden Gem!!
Course was very wet due to the extensive amount of rain we have received over the past few days but the fairways were in good shape. The greens were slow but a lot of that was due to the rain. We played it from the tips and it can play long, especially when wet. Loads of deer on the course. Mostly flat and most greens were pretty flat. Since we were the only people on the course it was great. Played 27 holes in 4 hours. Can't wait to play again, staff was super nice.
great course
Love playing this course. Really female friendly but still challenging at the same time. Great day!
very slow greens
course was in fair condition for this part of the country but the greens were Very slow (a quick 3) a person can only swing the putter so hard and keep control. greens needed cutting and rolled way to fuzzy. It is hard to fix ball marks on a green that's real slow.
Nice Course
Nice Course good for long hitters little off the beaten path but had a fun day
Nice hidden course
Played on a Sunday and it was not very crowded. Excellent greens and great fairways. This course is kept in very good shape. Friendly staff and good food. Long par 4's and par 5's. Par 3's are the place to score on this course. Most of them are short 130 yards. This course is not in perfect shape but you can tell they work hard to keep it in good playing shape. Hope tp gp back soon and play it again, see if I learned anything the first time.
