The Champions Club never disappoints
My regular foursome has played here many times and the course is always in great shape. We had some rain the Friday before this round so there were some wet areas but no car path only restrictions etc. due to the rain. The cart paths are an issue and when they are wet with large puddles movement between holes slow down a lot. Not a big deal I am just telling you what we as a foursome think. When we checked in we found out that there was a tournament scheduled with a 9:30 shotgun start. We teed off at 7:10 and never ran into the tournament. We feel that we should be informed about tournaments when booking rounds so we can make a decision if we want to chance the delay or not. We have had some delays at other courses that were very disappointing due to tournaments. All in all a great day of golf at a great course.
Average
Front none fairways are in poor conditions and overall the course isn't picturesque at all
Back nine was better
If I had played this course in season and payed a premium I would have been even more disappointed
Good times.
Dad and 3 boys had a really great time. Relaxed and quality course, especially for the price.
Roffer
Surprisingly, the course was in excellent shape after a long winter of use and abuse
This is THE course
This course literally never disappoints. Always in great shape. Always plays with a nice pace. Staff is always awesome (Before this round they recommended putting on the putting green for 10 mins because the greens on the course were stupid fast). For the price it is, this is a no brainer. Definitely bring some spare balls. If you’re off line, it’s definitely hard to find. But the course itself is very fair. You’re a moron if you don’t play this
Greens are in very good condition and are challenging. Will be back to play again.
Great Course, I always enjoy it!
Grass seems a little burned for so early in the season. Greens were super fast! Still really enjoyed it!
Course Conditions
I have played this course every week for much of the season and found it to be in good condition. The last time I played, it was very dry, with entire areas of grass brown on many holes and tee boxes in rough condition. When I finished my round I asked if the drought had an effect on the current conditions and also asked about the watering. The reply given was that the grass was going into 'dormancy.' Must be something unique here because I have not found the same amount of brown areas on other courses in the area.
Great oourse!
The greens were excellent and the course was in very good condiiton.
Great 18
Played from the white tees. The course was a little dry and therefore firm. Drives ran out an extra 10-15 yards which was great. Approach shots hit a little thin were gone. Played to the front of greens with front and middle pin positions and middle for pins that were back. Very fast greens but true. Bunkers were soft and required accurate swings. Overall I would play the course anytime but wish for some rain to soften things up a bit.
There is dry and then there is the Champions club
Although one might enjoy the extra yardage provided by exceptionally dry fairways the same can't be said about the greens. In order to hold the greens I would suggest your aim point to be about 10 yards short and let it bounce on.
Still one of my preferred course in the region,.
We appreciate your 5 Star review. The outing was a very small 40 person shotgun at 9:30 We were not surprised that the outing did not prevent you from enjoying the round. We have extremely professional rangers, starters, assistant pro's, who help maintain the pace of play. Had the outing been any larger and we thought it would have any effect on the days pace of play the tee sheet would be adjusted accordingly and customers informed. The cart paths are being repaired although we just got 5 inches this AM and had to take a break. Again! Been a wet October. Please stop in my office next time you play. We appreciate your comments.
