Worth the membership
Gadsden allowed 4 out of states on members to play 36 holes when our planned course decided to airate the greens right before our trip. I couldn't have been better! Great staff, very fun layout with awesome greens. If you are looking for a place to call your club in the area is is well worth the consideration.
Thanks a ton Gadsden!
Solid private track
Gadsden CC is a solid course with above average greens. I preferred the front nine to the back. The first three holes really let you ease into the round and see what kind of stuff you will have that day. The first hole is a lazy downhill dogleft left par 4. Catch the speed slot that favors a tee shot left center and you will have a wedge in. The second hole is a par 3 over a pond. The par-5 third hole allows for two brutish swings and some finesse around a green that slopes from back to front. The short par-4 ninth plays up the hill and is a very interesting hole that makes you dodge two fairway bunkers and OB left. This green is two-tiered and was one of the faster greens on the course. No. 10 is an excellent strategy hole. Tip: aim between the two Pines and hit anywhere from a 4-iron to a driver, depending on your skill level. The par-3 15th is tough, especially into the wind. It is all carry over water and par is always a good score here. The 16th is home to my favorite thing about this course. I don't know the story, but it is pretty self explanatory. See the attached photo of the plaque that sits behind the 16th green. The tee shot from an island tee on 17 is also pretty memorable. If you get an invite to play here, sharpen up your wedges, as you will rely on them heavily. And stay below the hole. Greens are really quick from above the hole.
