Nice layout horribly maintained
Was very nice piece of plate was very good. Just facilities were not taken care of to the best that they could’ve been very old carts. Just needs money dumped back into it and it’ll be good again. Wouodnt pay 40 bucks to play here again that’s for sure unless some remodels and maintenance take place.

Great layout would be nice if they would just do what they need to do to make their greens good
Great for the area
This course is a great value for the area, especially compared to other much more expensive options nearby. If you’re just looking to play some golf without spending a fortune, it’s a solid pick. That said, if it were located anywhere else, it would probably be considered pretty average.
The carts are extremely outdated — slow, uncomfortable, and some feel like they’re barely hanging on. Definitely time for an upgrade. While there is a putting green and a driving range, there’s really no social atmosphere to speak of — no bar, no food options, no place to hang out after your round. It’s very much a “play your 18 and leave” kind of setup.
The course has potential, though. A few smart investments — modern carts, a small clubhouse bar, even just a food truck — could really elevate the experience and make it a standout value, not just a convenient one.
Greens need work , poa annua all in the greens
They need to use the right chemical at the right time, and not cut corner's. Great layout but they just need to figure out how to have good greens. And tee boxes..
Great condition
Possibly the best semi-private course in the area. Course is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Carts are getting a little wear on them but they are better than some. Love the layout of the course, you’ll get a taste of everything.
Greens need big improvement
Most of the greens are covered with poa annnua, and some have dirt patches on the edges. Finding a clean putting line on long putts is impossible. Avoiding the poa on putts under 10 feet is difficult. The course layout is fun and challenging before reaching the green, but frustrating when you do. If you’re playing socially with a group, I’d suggest giving gimme putts within 3 feet.
Good for this time of year
Always enjoy playing this course. It’s tough to maintain the fairways and greens this time of year but fhey were in pretty good shape. Lots of standing water from the 10 inches of rain in the past week. Give it a few more days without rain and it’ll be nice. Two of the greens were patchy in spots but for the most part, they rolled pretty even.
Great Value for a quality course
Northwood looks and is playing great after the rains. There are a few greens that are under repair and make putting challenging. Namely hole 8. Fairways have softened up as have the tee boxes. The back 9 is some of my favorite golf in the area. Elevated tee boxes and gorgeous, difficult greens.
Solid course overall
Only complaints are the dryness of the fairways and some of the greens are suffering from patches and repairs. Layout is great. We have just had extremely dry conditions last couple of months and the fairways are suffering.
Sunday Golf
You decide, Eat a GREAT Brunch before a late round or after an early round . Beautiful course and extremely friendly and helpful people. Beautiful holes and great contours .
GolfNow Tax Issues
Recently noticed tax was more for a lower priced hot deal versus the tax for a higher priced regular round. Instant messaged GolfNow and they couldn’t properly explain. They pushed it off on the course. So I went to the course and they stated they nothing to do with the website. Not sure where the answer is but taxes shouldn’t be higher for a lower priced tee time.
Best Public Course in the area!
This course was miles above all others in the area. There were some dead spots but we’re in a drought so who can blame them. The greens were very challenging and made for an excellent round.
Challenging but Fun
Great course, lots of wavy greens and hills. A good time.
Great Course...
I have been waiting for Northwood's repairs to the greens to take effect. They had lost them because a harsh winter and a bad greenskeeper (who's no longer there.) Great job getting it back in shape. Some bare spots in the fairways which is common here after the long hot summer, but overall the course is in great shape. I will definitely put it back on the list of courses that I play often.
