The course was awesome. The rough was well kept and it was easy to find our ball when they wondered off the fairways. I wish we had played this course all week instead of the Rose Hill, Island West and Pinecrest.

I generally play this course on every visit to HH. It may be that the hurricane Emma caused the damage, but the greens are in bad shape and invaded by some sort of leafy grass. Many sand traps were pure mud and unplayable. I'll play here again, but not until the staff has time to repair the course. Hopefully a few months of maintenance will bring the course back to standards.

Course offers nice layout. Greens and fairways need maintenance. Greens suffering "large blade grass" invasion. Hindered putting on several holes.

Fairways needed maintenance. Might be due to recent weather but greens are long term issue.

I visit Hilton Head every year and Eagle Point is always on my play list. There are always deals to be had for discounted greens fees and the course is fun to play. The clubhouse is showing some age and the course is not the best maintained in the area but it's still in good condition. I play a lot of golf and these greens and fairways are pretty average, which is a good thing. NOT below average. I recommend Eagle Point.

First of all, out of all the brown golf properties that I've played so far this is easily #1 or 2. I didn't know whether to give 3 or 4 stars but because of the very kind staff and the value of the course conditions for the dollar it has to be 4 stars. Now, the greens are slow and in places a little weedy, however, they generally rolled fairly true to line which is my biggest point for a golf course. The range is pretty nice and the balls better than average. If you can play this course for less than $40 I would take it and you'll find yourself pretty happy with the value.

P.S. while the staff was really nice there is no beverage cart and if you've never played golf in a South Carolina summer before just take my advice and stock up on gatorade from the pro shop.

We chose this course because there were a number of tee times available in the morning. Should have realized that was a sign, there were 0 cars in the parking lot at 8:30am. The course was the worst conditioned course I've ever played and I've spent my life playing public golf at some courses that are not nice at all. Almost all tee boxes were just dirt, fairways seemed as though nobody had tended to them in weeks. By far the worst was the greens which resembled that of a 'decent fairway'. Had to hammer puts just to have a chance to get there. We only saw 2 people who worked there the whole day, the guy who we payed greens fees and a guy who took our cart at the end. The guy who took our cart was upset with us that we weren't on the cart path coming up 18 since it was cart path only but the cart path was underwater..... we then told him the course wasn't in great shape and he snapped that they just aerated a week ago. All in all a horrible course and experience. Thought it would be a good value but in hindsight you couldn't pay me to go back there again.

$41 pp Sunday morning round

Weeds growing on every green

Held up by very slow play of 4 balls who refused to acknowledge being hailed to allow us to play through

1 group of 4 men and 6 Children were playing on the course holding everyone up. Whoever makes the booking should be more vigilant about group bookings.

Overall, really poor round of golf having to constantly stop and wait for other golfers with little golfing etiquette. Weeds growing on the greens is totally unacceptable.

Eagle’s Pointe Golf Club is a defining statement and signature design of PGA Tour professional Davis Love III. It’s located in Bluffton, SC, just a few miles from the bridge that leads to Hilton Head Island and, among local golfers, it is one of the most popular 'off-island' courses.

Eagle’s Pointe strikes the balance between a difficult golf course and one everyone can play; it’s one of the most player-friendly courses on Hilton Head Island. This course will have you hitting every club in the bag and allow you to take advantage of what you do well. If you want to score well at Eagle’s Pointe, you’ll need to hit a lot of fairways and avoid the ominous fairway bunkers. That shouldn’t be a problem if you can hit the ball straight as a lot of the hazards here are on the edge of the fairway. But that’s only half the battle, you’ll also have to perform well on the large, undulating putting surfaces.

The course offers several risk-reward opportunities that will challenge golfers of all abilities. While the generous landing areas allow you to hit driver off most tees, the emphasis here is on the approach shots to large, undulating greens. Love has always placed an emphasis on the putting game and boldly contoured greens have become his signature. The greens at Eagle’s Pointe don’t disappoint in this respect.

After your round, be sure to stop by the lounge for your favorite after-golf libation. If you’re hungry, why not try one of Eagle’s Pointe’s delicious sandwiches such as the Club or Pulled Pork BBQ? Their weekly specials include a Meatloaf Sandwich served on a hoagie roll and slathered in brown gravy and a Sausage and Peppers sandwich which is phenomenal.

The pro shop at Eagle’s Pointe Golf Club is fully-stocked with some of the top names in golf equipment and apparel you can find. Browse through their selection of the game’s top name brands. You can also schedule some golf lessons so that you can put that equipment to good use. And what better place to use it than on the practice range. Eagle’s Pointe has a full length driving range where you can hit every one of those new clubs, as well as a chipping area and practice putting green.

Want free unlimited range balls for those new clubs? As a member of Eagle’s Pointe, that’s just one of the perks. Through Brown Golf Management’s membership program, you’ll have access and unlimited range balls at 7 local Bluffton/Hilton Head courses as well as unlimited golf and free golf lessons any time you like. Now you have no excuse not to get better!

I played yesterday for the first time and enjoyed myself. Since playing solo, being able to play fast without getting jammed behind a bunch of foursomes is very important. The conditions though are average. Greens are okay, but definitely could use some work on several of them. Traps are hit or miss. Some are okay others are pretty compacted, almost like hitting off loose dirt.

There are certainly better courses out there, but for what I'm looking for, I'll be back...

+Fast play (at least it was yesterday around 2pm on a hot summer day)

+Good value at $36 for a round of 18 with cart

Shot an 87 yesterday at a pace of 2 hrs 15 min, so I was happy!

Course conditions were better than expected. This course is a course managed by Brown golf. Most of there courses are below average in the area for conditioning. Eagles Point was a pleasant surprise. No beverage cart or snack shop staffed. Pro shop staff pulling double duty. Very nice but overworked causing poor customer service. Typical Brown golf. Cutting corners. Course in good shape though! It's a shame that these courses in the area operated by Brown golf have this reputation.
