Disappointed
I didn't realize I had to ask if the range was open or cart path only. It was dry for three days before my wife and I played, but the range was closed and it was cart path only. parts of the course was very soggy and the greens were not in good shape. I expected more from a highly ranked course.
Summer
Absolutely loves it. A little sloppy due to weather so I'm really looking forward to playing it this summer. Fast greens and very scenic.
Don’t play here in the winter
I love this course. This, however, was my first time in the winter. Mud puddles everywhere, divots filled with water on the fairway, just a mess.
Too much sand tee to green
Look like the course has sanded tee to green recently. Golf ball covered with sand, putting isn't the same.
Just a great day!
I was in town from Michigan visiting my son. He hasn't played in 10 years and I brought him my previous set of clubs. Got very lucky with the weather and looked forward to playing with him. I am glad I picked Ghost Creek to play, it was a great experience. It's a beautifully designed course and I couldn't believe what great shape it was in for November! We had a great day and one that I'll always remember as I don't know when I'll have a chance to play with him again. If I do I won't hesitate in choosing to play Ghost Creek again. Thanks for the experience!
Winter conditions were great
Great conditions although a little soft due to all of the winter rains but still great overall! Had a few lost balls in all of the leaves and balls plugged in the mud were harder to find but still great for this time of the year. Sunny and 50 to 55 was great!
Pumpkin Ridge A+
Course was in great shape! Greens are fast and challenging!
Rain Out
First time playing this course and booked it through Golf Now Hot Deal. Should have known Oregon weather predictable for rain but with a GN prepay you can only cancel if the course is closed. Which it wasn't. In my opinion if the tee boxes have so much standing water that you have to find your own teeing area then they should close or at least come by and run a quick squeegee to run the water off. Same for fairways. Most shots you had to move ball to find a spot that was not puddled. When we asked for a couple of towels for the cart to be able to dry our grips between shots we got some dry, but old mudded towels. Really?, for a facility this nice and expensive you don't have extra towels for the carts. While the carts did have rain covers to keep the bags mostly dry, they were parked so the entire interior could, and did, get wet. Including putting the scorecard on it that essentially deteriorated in your hands. Why not leave them in the cart barn and call the up when players showed up. The course itself was beautiful and picturesque. Loved the elevated tees. I get it, it rains in Oregon, but I think PR could have done a little bit more to try and make the best of a rainy day.
Best in PDX
Really beautiful, well designed and maintained course. Can be challenging with the small creek that intersects many of the holes. Better check you maps and yardages! Fast greens with hard reads, putted way above my average. Great course, got on it for $40! Usually close to $100 to play.
Best course in the area by far
Excellent greens, perfect condition, great staff.
Thank you
Enjoyable round
The Pumpkin Ridge course is one of the nicest in this area of NW Portland. Selfishly, I hesitate to mention the good rates that Golf Now offers for a course of this quality. Additionally, I found everyone I encountered on the staff, pro shop, restaurant, refreshment cart, very friendly.
