1st time
I've summered near Port Austin but didn't know about this course until saw it on Golf Now. 9 holes but very pleasant to playl
Course in great shape
Course is in great shape for this time of year. Weather was perfect and course was not busy. Had a very enjoyable round.
Century oaks
Quickly becoming my favorite course in the thumb area. The holes move well and the layout is great. Not a long course but you need to hit some tee shots to the right spot to have a second shot that can get to the green. Conditions were great. I could see playing this twice to get 18 in with no problem.
Disappointment
Did not realize when we paid for 18 that we were paying to play their nine holes twice, our fault, we didn't notice it only had 9 holes. Very poor markings on holes of distance to green.
Relaxing round
We had a beautiful day and enjoyed the course. The wait staff in the club house was exceptionally friendly.
Will be back
Nice little course
Somewhat short (less than 3000 yds for nine), But adequate traps and water hazards. Interesting holes with some thought required. A few holes required accurate lay up.
Good, short course
This course is a little bit of a hidden gem, off the beaten path. The staff friendliness was incredible. The course is pretty easy overall. There is a little water on the course but it's pretty avoidable. Appropriate amount of bunkers to guard the holes. You won't use many clubs in the bag and I definitely think you should play the tips. I basically used driver, wedge the whole day. It's a pretty easy course overall because of the low yardage but does have a couple tricky holes. The course was in great shape.
Nice 9 hole course with a challenging layout.
Play was slower then normal because the course championship was being held that day. Course conditions were as good as any public course I've recently played. The tees, fairways and greens were well maintained, green and plush.
Tricky middle nine
Tees, fairways and greens are in excellent condition.
The course has had significant improvement over the past 10 years.
The middle three holes - 4,5 and 6 require a clear knowledge of yardage that can only be determined by playing these holes a second time. Distance to and over the hazard needs clear marking with a visible post from the tee - narrow and tricky.
This is a fun short course for a casual round. A serious golfer could be easily frustrated by some slow beginner play.
