Power Ranch Golf Club
About
With its neighbors being the Santan Range and Superstition Mountain, it is no wonder Power Ranch Golf Club (formerly known as Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch) is known for its spectacular views. Although this championship golf course is near a residential area, the course architect, Dick Bailey, insists the homes were routed to accommodate the golf course and not vice versa. The holes amble through the cleansed desert of the Queen Creek wash, which features plenty of interesting elevation changes. Strategically placed mounding and bunkers are situated throughout the golf course. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Four sets of tee boxes are available to test experienced golfers and allow beginners to enjoy Power Ranch Golf Club as well.

How come I always have to hit my ball here? Photo submitted by cofgrindr8 on 12/10/2013
Do not play until Winter 2024 - new greens need to settle
Greens are new and have not settled yet. Rock hard, have to play a club short every hole and hope balls roll up, anything that lands on the green is rolling off. Absolutely no way is this a $100+ course given the condition of the greens.
Tee boxes were fine, fairways are fine, rough never gets watered, several balls that rolled into dirt where there should have been rough. Had some stupid long drive roll outs because the course was so dry and the ground was rock hard.
Practice range was mats. Cart GPS is old technology. Carts did not have windshields. No ball washers on the course. Water bottles provided.
Pin placement was questionable on several holes given that the course knows that the greens weren't going to hold any balls.
Might be OK to play in Winter 2024.
Concrete Greens
Course is in great shape but they did a complete green renovation a couple months ago and they are hard and hold no spin. Approach shots sound like they are hitting concrete and just skip over the green. Will be he a great course when greens soften up.
Greens are not good
The course was closed all last summer to redo all of the greens. The grass on the greens is not good at all and they are charging very premium prices for the course. NOT a good value at all.
Got out early
We showed up early to see if we could get out early to beat the storm and they allowed us out. We made it through 16 holes before the storm hit but luckily, we were at a tunnel that went under the street. waited out the down poor and finished the round. They just put in new greens that were very hard and hard to hold but the starter warned us. Over all it was a fun round and I love how the new greens undulate. I can't wait to go back once the greens are more established.
Nice Track!!
Had a blast here! This track has all the challenge a mid-handicapper like myself needs. Fun to play!!
Where is the grass
Every winter the over seed on this course gets less and less.Fairways too narrow no over seed around the greens.Since the greens don’t even hold a lob wedge every chip is being played off dormant Bermuda of hand pan.Renovation made this place worse much better options in the area for much less. This place not worth it. Stay away
Greens wow!
Haven't played here since Covid so it was almost a new course. The new greens are excellent but very demanding and difficult. Many times, there were three putts, which doesn't happen very often. Good layout and the staff were first class, as was the restaurant afterwards. Will play there again soon.
Great course had a great time. I was a single scheduled for 556, there was another single scheduled for 546 so they decided to pair us together which was fine. But instead of moving me up to the earlier time, they moved him back to my later time and put a (VERY SLOW) 4some in front of us. They knew in advance how slow they were as the starter identified them as being members. They finally let us play through after the 4th hole and everything was fine from there.
Nice golf course
Went on a rainy afternoon as a single player. I would have been stuck behind a foursome and might not have finished the round, but the guy at the clubhouse let me play the back nine first, which was wide open. The new greens were in nice shape and played fast even in the rain.
Nice Course
Fairways and greens are in nice shape. Will always play again here.
First time at the Ranch
Nice course, but very slow play as it seems like they try to put through as many golfers as they can. And people can't even finish their round because it takes so long.
