Sunland Village Golf Course
About
Located in the east valley, the Sunland Village Golf Course is an 18-hole course with a traditional layout. The semi-rolling landscape of the course features subtle elevation changes and tall, mature trees sprinkled throughout. The medium-sized greens are slightly undulating and the fairways are tree-lined. There are also ponds on the course that come into play on many holes. A notable hole is the par-3 16th. It is a mere 86 yards, but it requires a precise shot past water to the green. The Sunland Village Golf Course facility has three different putting and chipping greens for golfers to use as well as a driving range.

Great course
Very good course.
Several water hazards, but layer out very well.
Rude and unprofessional
Walked in 25 minutes early to check in for a tee time and Staff proceeded to tell us that we did not have a 206 tee time as I went to show him our confirmation he said you have a shotgun start @230. Never bothering to explain but in a rude manner stated your going to do what I say or not take the tee time and do you want to golf or not ? While holding the cart key away from us I felt unwelcomed and we asked for his name .Staff at counter would not give his name and in an augmentative manner said you will wait for my announcement for the start of your round. He also yelled that the shotgun start was at the bottom of our confirmation from golf now which is a lie.I have golfed this course for 20 years and have never met this staffer but customer service was so unprofessional and rude I will not recommend this course to anyone.
One of the best executive courses in the valley
The course is in excellent condition from tee box to green. Very friendly staff and overall nice facility. The course provides for a great golfing experience.
Very well cared for Executive Course
Even though this course is less than 4000 yards, it has some teeth. Rolling hills, elevated greens (some) makes this a challenge. Greens are in very good shape and are not easy to read, subtle breaks. You will look forward to a nice challenge at a fair price at Sunland Village.
Nice course but...
This is a fairly nice executive-style course. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in good condition. Well worth the money, compared to other courses in the area.
My only issues are:
- We had a 8:52 tee time but did not tee off until almost 9:30. How can a course be behind by over a half hour so early in the morning.
- While waiting to be called for our tee time, members (three ladies) with a later tee time cut in front of us. They asked us what our tee time was and they said being that far behind was BS. They went inside the proshop and when they exited, they said "we told them!" and proceeded to cut in front of us.
- We made on reservation on line and paid a fee up front. We received a detailed confirmation email, that listed "sales tax" and "Amunt due at course." I didn't check my credit card untiil the following day and noticed we were charged $9.56 more than the price indicated in the email. I called the course and they said the difference was sales tax. I don't mind paying the tax but the email should have said, "even though we charged you sales tax once, you'll have to pay more at the course, so the amount due at course is not the amount you'll actually pay at the course."
Hello, scott4519629. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Sunland Village Golf Course.
Great Experience
This course was good bang for the buck. Great staff. Well organized and on time. Though I prefer full courses the smaller executive course was perfect for me on this day. Greens were in great shape, rolling true and just fast enough. The layout was pretty straightforward and course in good shape generally. Mostly par 3s and a handful of short par 4s. Pace of play was very consistent - we were done in under 3 hours. Overall a worthwhile afternoon.
Great little course
This place is priced right, course is in great shape, staff is helpful and restaurant is wonderful
Great short track
This was a nice course and still in great shape even with the summer heat. Played 18 in around 2.5 hours.
Great beginner course
Course is well maintained, staff is friendly, some easy par 3s with some good length par 4s. Greens were running a little fast but overall great course looking forward to my next time playing it!
Hidden Gem
Wanted to get in a quick round in on a Friday before lunch time. Didn’t expect too much for a Par 63 course. What a pleasant surprise. The clubhouse felt local and friendly. The grounds were in great shape. The traffic was minimal, as a bogey golfer, I didn’t feel rushed. I ended up finishing part of the back nine with a retired gentleman who invited me to join him. Overall an excellent experience.
Hello my name is Dan, I am the Co-GM/Director of Golf. I am sorry to hear about your experience with us this past Friday. Please call me at 480-832-3691 so we can make this right..
