Union Hills Golf & Country Club
About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Slow play
Service in pro shop was very, very rude...No course ranger and no one around anywhere to help with 5+ hour round...No drink cart...Looked like the place was abandoned except for the group 2 holes ahead with rental clubs and no idea how to move along...
Not a good experience...Not going back.. They do not care...
Failed Country Club
The two entrances have monument signs that clearly show that the words "Country Club" have been removed from below "Union Hills". Tacky. The signage is poor for first timers to find the pro shop. The club house was locked. The first and 18th fairways have white range balls in them making it difficult to find your ball, if you are using a white one. The fairways, greens, and bunkers were in great condition. The rough was hard, dry and in poor condition.
Fairways and greens are a 10
Since new ownership, it is changing and in spite of “don’t miss the fairways” scene, very fair and looking good. Keep up the transition work.
Bad looking
My rating of course Cond is a little weird because the fairways and greens were in good shape but anywhere off the fairway was horrible and I mean high grass weeds, blotchy patches, uneven grass, mud dirt just visually bad. And when you pull into the parking lot there’s so many weeds. It looks like the course has been closed for years, horrible looking.
Better than ever!
It might be a typical Sun City layout but the course was in great shape except for some bunkers which needed attention. Great pace of play in ideal conditions too! They have also invested in new carts with GPS.
Pleasant surprise
We drove a considerable distance to play this course. Really enjoyed our day. Course is in reasonably good shape, carts are comfortable electric with GPS. Staff was pleasant with good service. Will try to play again soon.
Pleasant round at Union Hills
My wife and I went back to Union Hills for the first time in quite a while and were pleased to find the course in great shape. Had an enjoyable round even though winds were quite strong at times.
Will likely go back again in near future!
Decent
The course conditions were decent. Played a little slow at just over 4.5 hrs. The back nine presented a little more challenge with water in play on several holes. Would play again if the rate is $50-$70.
Good value
Course was in good condition and the greens were fairly good. Pace of play was 4hrs 15 minutes
Don't go out of your way for this course.
Union Hills was a very vanilla golf course with marginal conditions. We tried it once but wouldn't return.
Great course
Definitely the “best golf course in Phoenix you’ve never heard of.”
Very well maintained and surprisingly few people playing during the week- even in “prime tee times.”
Indeed the best Phoenix course you’ve never heard about.
Had a fantastic outing on this course. Not crowded. In fact, there were twosomes in front and behind us Beautiful fairways, greens and foliage. We were anxious about playing a course in amongst houses but the layout was so well done we hardly even noticed. Having parallel holes in opposite direction eliminated any feeling of being squeezed by the homes along the course. Beautiful layout.
Union Hills
Excellent conditions for the time of year. Pace of play on the front was very good however the back nine was very slow
