Nice course

We always enjoy playing this course. It is a great warm up course after spending months in the house surrounded by snow in Idaho. Great value.

Awful Course

My husband and I have played this course many times over the years. We have been playing golf in the local area for over 30 years. We have never played a round of golf as slowly as we did yesterday-3-26-2024, at the Boulder City golf course. We booked our round for a 1:20 pm tee time. This, turned out to be the first tee time, released to GolfNow, after 30 players loaded the course for a “ SCRAMBLE” of a group of men visiting LAS VEGAS for March Maddness, who decided to try golfing on a Tuesday afternoon outing. It appeared only one person in each foursome knew how to play golf, drive the cart or any golf etiquette at all. We waited on every shot on every hole for 18 holes. We almost quit after 9 holes, but thinking that after they made the turn their speed would pick up. It did not. A Marshall NEVER appeared on the course for the entire round. I complained to the worker behind the desk inside the golf shop after 9 holes. There was nothing done about their slow play and carts being driven up to touch the green on almost every hole. We finished golfing at 6:35 pm - we were a 3-some as a single was putt with us when we teed off. He did not have a tee time- was a walk- on local who knew the Starter. It was the slowest, most awful round of golf on a very poorly kept golf course, my husband and I have ever played. Take my word- this course also allows 5-soles to play- if a local single, known to them, walk up, no tee time- just wants to play. It’s a great course for walking if you don’t mind playing 18 holes in 5+ hours. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COURSE EVER! Price is almost always CHEAP! You get what you pay for!

Boulder City golf visit

We booked the course primarily because of availability and price. It is a bit off the normal track if you’re staying in Las Vegas but we like BC….cute town, no gambling allowed, coffee shops, barbecue, breweries, etc. Early teetime for a 45 minute drive but easy at that time of the morning.
The course is a typical muni, not tricked out, bunkers filled with a gravelly substance, fairways hard as a rock ((it is a desert) but beautifully tree lined. It was our first round of golf since early November so over 4 months and we were fine with a playable course. There is a bit of water mostly on the back nine and the greens were in great shape. Not bad for $70 when everything else is booked or over $200.

Course is not overseeded. Fairways were very patchy and very lumpy so balls did not roll very true. Greens in good condition, very fast, and very challenging.

Poor Condition

Greens good but fairways, tee boxes and traps are not good. Not a good value for the conditions.

lumpy fringe

Grass needs to grow and smooth out the lumpiness. Best to move the ball to a smooth surface instead of being frustrated.

How to take a nap on the course.

Nothing to complain about the course, it's great for a desert course wide grassy fairways. The greens are all sloping and very fast.
Only problem was that we were behind a beginner that would not let us play through, after getting to his ball he took over 2 minutes to get out, hit, and get back in his cart each time, his partner would also get out with him. He did 15 on a 170 yard easy par 3 with no penalty and 2 tee shots. 65 minutes to play 3 holes.

Don't leave anything behind!!

My buddies and I have been playing this course for years. Not any more.
This is the Last time we will play here.
I left a portable blue tooth speaker behind in the cart at 4:00 in the afternoon and the cart went back to the barn. Never got turned in to lost and found(I called three times}. One of my buddies left a Shriners jacket in the cart and never got it back. Another buddy left a wedge behind and never got it back. Too many "sticky fingers " here.
