Pine Lakes Country Club
About
Elegant and upscale at every turn, the 62-room antebellum clubhouse has been a must for photographers since its completion in 1927. When the azaleas bloom in the spring, it was in this setting that Henry Booth Luce's famed "Sport Illustrated" was founded in 1954.
From the white-gloved caddy master, to the on course chef, everything about Pine Lakes is bathed on old-fashioned class and charm. Although the clubhouse is completely private for the club members, at present, arrangements have been made for guest play through a very select group of member hotels. Should you be fortunate enough to stay at one of these facilities, we suggest you make it a point to visit this classic.

Fun time at great course
So don't believe your gps for arriving at the course nor are there any kilts to be seen but it is a friendly staff that greats you and a fun course to play.
Stay in town and play this course
Pine Lakes was close to my resort and was in excellent shape. The greens were rolling beautifully and fairways and tee boxes were in perfect shape. I truly enjoyed this course and will play here again.
LOVED this course!
Played 9 rounds in 10 days on a girls golf trip and this was by far our favorite course!!! The conditions were perfect even though it was early in the season. Next year will try to get 2 or 3 rounds in here!!
Classic Myrtle Beach course
Good layout, solid golf course in very good conditions. Water on a lot of holes leads to many challenges (especially with the wind blowing 18-20 like when I played). Might be the oldest course on the Grand Strand, but still relevant. If you are coming to Myrtle Beach to play gotta put this old classic on your list. As solid as it gets.
Perfect Day
Played here in an Amateur Tour event and course was in flawless condition. Winter rye greens were quick and smooth. Fairways, rough, bunkers all perfect. It was 74 and sunny just an amazing day. Only 2 very minor issues. We didn’t see a beverage cart on the back 9. Also a little dismayed to see all the trees cut to make way for cookie cutter homes. Neither fit with the Colonial character of Pine Lakes. Still a fantastic course and would highly recommend.
Real Nice Course for January
Played the course with 3 local members and had a fun time playing with them. Course was in super shape for this time of year so I would expect it to be even better when spring arrives. Sand traps were nice shape too. Greens were nice and fast but a little hard but it is January.
Great Course
Course was in great shape. I was a single so they paired me with 3 others. 18 holes at an excellent pace of 3.5 hours. Brian, an employee of the course, was our 4th and he was a great help navigating the Course for a first time player. Overall a great experience!
Perfection
Perfection all the way and joined a twosome very pleasant and agreable.
Would certainly play with them if it is possible.
Very nice course
Friendly and informative staff. Pretty good condition. No driving range but I think you can use another courses in same group. Plays long.
