Good Value!
Although the greens had been aerated and sanded recently, we had a good experience at Beechwood. Tree-lined, there are few houses on the course(an exception in the NC/SC area), which allows for some room to hit your driver. It is a nice, traditional layout with some different holes, tough par-3s. For under $30 , I would definitely play again!
Slammed
When we checked in and were ready to play the sent out a group of 16 on the first tee and 11 on the tenth tee. Very slow pace of play and no Marshall assistance. Course condition was marginal, especially for the price paid. That said, the staff was great!
Over priced for what it is
Fairways and greens are decent but outside of that course is just ok. Priced high because they can but really worth about $40 per round at best.
Great Course
Great course, the greens and fairways were in great shape. Staff was incredibly friendly, will definitely be back
Nice course
The course is in good condition. Water and bunkers make it interesting and a bit challenging. We will be going back.
Course club house staff and marshal's very friendly.
Tee Time and Pace
Our tee time was for 1:15 PM. We were not able to tee off until 2:15 PM!!!!!! Course was way overbooked. Worst experience for that in my life!
Great course, but Marshall’s needed to keep play under 4.5 hours
Course and staff was great, but slow play ahead of us detracted from what was otherwise at great day, as it took 5 hours to complete our round. Course marshal only appeared once we got to the 18th tee, by then it was too late.
Location location location!
Nice course - GREAT location. Played in 4.5 hrs which is better than expected. Course was in good shape in general. Was second round out after rotator cuff surgery so appreciated that it was not a real difficult track.
Myrtle classic
One of the first courses I played in Myrtle. Frankly, has changed very little, but in many ways that is a good thing. The layout is fairly unremarkable except for the fish hook par 5. That hole will have your group arguing over beers whether it is a classic or simply silly. Beachwood has always had excellent fairways and smooth-rolling greens. One of the best 'bang for the buck' courses on the strand. Don't expect the full resort treatme. Just expect helpful and experienced staff and a fun golf experience
