Teeing off with my resort in the backround Photo submitted by u912007132 on 05/31/2019
nice day
this golf course is user friendly, however flat and just back and forth. not much character. It was less wet than other courses I've played so seems to handle rain much better than others.
Pace is on retired time
Pace of play was so slow that i left after 11th hole. Just wasn't worth the time. Great.for retired folk only
Great course
Good value for the money. Like the course and in reasonable shape for the time of year
Pace of play on the back 9 was terrible. At time there were 4 groups on a tee box and no Marshall to try and move things along. One foursome 3 groups ahead of us held everything up . It was not enjoyable and in fact a couple of groups quit because of that . A Marshall on this course is definitely needed
Course review
Pace of play did get quite backed up on our second round there
Up to 10 to 12 minutes wait on the back nine.
No Marshall on course and there should be
Sons golf weekend
Had a great time playing this course with my sons. Enjoyed the challenge and very enjoyable ability wise. That is, did not play so difficult it took some of the fun out.
Poor attitude from staff. Course was in fair shape given time of year. Overpriced for MB golf. Have played twice in different years but Will not play again.
Pleasant surprise
We played following a significant rain fall. It was cart path only but the course drained fairly well.
All bunkers were drained of water except one that we noticed. Greens are really nice, sneaky quick. The fairways are coming in but good for the time of year. Pace of play was excellent I think only waited on one hole. Would definitely play again.
Delightful personnel
Beachwood is the closest course to where we rent.
We have always felt comfortable at this course.
It has an interesting layout yet seems forgiving.
The lady at the desk in the pro shop is welcoming and friendly.
( Say hello to Cathy…)
There is a driving range, putting and chipping practice areas.
The carts are in good shape and so is the course.
We will be back.
Save your time
Took 3.5 hours to play 12 holes. I was playing with 3 very poor players and we still had to wait for a group ahead of us on every tee. One of the group told me a staff member told him they put out 300 players this day. No Marshal in site. Pace of play non existent and obviously not a concern.
Not what I expected
First trip to myrtl beach for me and my wife.We decided to try this course because it was close to our rented condo.Saw first hand how crowded courses are here in myrtl beach this time of year.Got there bout an hour before our tee time.Place was crazy busy.Had to wait till about 15min before tee time to get a cart.Staff was cordial. So we hit a small bucket and putted to kill the time till we could load up.We were paired up with a single( local familiar with the course) and a young guy/ mom who was passenger only.Great company during our round.Just wish the course was as nice.Greens were Slow!! Might have been fertilized or sanded or something..not sure what.Layout was ok..nothing to write home about.Sand traps ok too...for a 50.00 plus fee this course could use some TLC. I would not play here again but would look toward eagles nest as something way better for less money.Dont mind spending money for courses that show better conditioning.Have a few weeks in myrtl to make other comparisons.Being down from MI this was our first play since last fall up north..so it was just ok as a warm up round. One and done for us...looking forward to other courses in the area
This course does not look like the website pics
Course had very nice greens with new soft sand bunkers. The fairways, rough and tee boxes need a lot of attention !
All the staff was very friendly and polite.
Most expensive course.
This was the most expensive course we played in Myrtle Beach, and it was the worst track we played.
Good course to start the week.
Good starter course and it was in good shape for the amount of rain that fell 2 days earlier.
Only played 9
To be fair we have never played the course before and don’t know what it would be like in optimal conditions. Cart paths are pretty rough so I don’t think warmer weather will help.
