Indigo Creek Golf Club
About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Golf in December! Indigo Creek Photo submitted by Aldostin1 on 12/27/2019
Great Value
I shoot mid 80's, my father shoots mid to high 90's. I played the tips and he was off the whites. Not a difficult course but fun and played in under 4 hours. Starter got us off half hour early.
After reading reviews I now question every negative review on GolfNow. First off who cares if there is a ballwasher on every hole, spit on the ball and use a towel. However this course did have ballwashers on 80% of the holes.
I paid $29USD through golfnow and will be back again in the next few weeks as most courses in the area are well north of $50 at this time of year.
Its March, the grass is still dormant, however tees, greens and fairways were quite green and playing great. 2 greens (#1 and #10 oddly enough the first holes of each 9) had some crab grass on them but again its March and probably haven't sprayed for the season yet. It was cut that day and the ball bounced a little more on these 2 greens but overall the rest of the greens were in good shape. Played after 2 days of heavy rain and in 50-60 degree weather and the course was pretty dry but yes some wet spots as expected. Carts were cart path only and this was posted at the bagdrop and the proshop.
Overall a middle of the pack course at a great value. Lots of water, but doesn't come into play too much. Some good fun holes, nothing stupid and no poor layouts. Bunkers had lots of soft white sand, greens were firm but held if you know how to shoot. Lift clean and place due to plugging but expected in this weather.
Great course
Enjoyed this course. Took 3 hours to do 18. Greens could use some care.
Coors needs a little bit of a cleanup, but it is early in the year. The staff was very friendly and had a great welcome and explained everything very clearly and made you feel very comfortable. I would play it again.
Pace of play
While we played as a twosome and knew following a foursome would be relatively slow we accepted that fact. Unfortunately it was extremely slow. We played the first 13 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes and had enough. Passed 2 foursomes and then clear sailing. next 3 holes in 25 minutes with no one to be seen. Need a course Marshall to police this.
Should be told before you pay.
Greens at this golf course were awful. Some had been painted to look green. Grass was sparse and non existent on some parts of greens. This lack of conditioning should be shared before a booking is made. Greens were not enjoyable to play. Unfortunate!
To expensive for the course conditions
Greens in bad shape. We did not finish the game cause de pace was so slow. We stop at the fifteen for 4 hours play. Whay to far from North Myrtle Beach. To expensive for the course conditions.
Good value
Pace of play yesterday was very slow. Too many people teeing off on the back 9 to start and it got very backed up Waited at least 10 minutes at every hole.
Also played there the week before and it was fine. Good value for the money and we will play there again
Ok for the money
If you are looking to just get out and smack it around, have a few beers, and some laughs, this is an ok course to pick. Great layout, but not well maintained at all. Lots of turf loss in the fairway, be prepared to play lift and place. Bunkers are almost unplayable, and almost all of the greens are suffering from some type of mold growth. They have them sanded and painted but still not what you want to putt on. Too bad as some of the areas where there is no mold the greens rolled very nicely. Bottom line, good for beginners, or just a cheap round of golf.
Some nice holes
No marshals… pace of play horrible.. too many twosomes on the course for being a full course. Some young lads riding their carts all over the par 3 😡😡😡.
Would Not recommend to play.
Although the entire staff were amazing 🤩
