Ashton Hills - always a great place to play
Good round. Great condition, rough was more challenging than usual. Gotta hit the fairway. Greens have totally recovered from aeration. Also had a great dinner with my wife afterwards. My compliments to the Chef!
Only negative was cart path only, however it was justifed.
Great course
Ashton Hills truly is a lovely golf course - really interesting course and the greens were fantastic. The staff are very helpful but try as he might the Marshall couldn’t get the 4 ball to speed up and I had to walk off after 16 and a half holes which took over 4hrs 15 mins. Very inconsiderate golfers in the 4 ball up front.
Georgia's Hidden Gem
I had the distinct pleasure of playing Ashton Hills GC recently, and it didn't disappoint. I travel for work, and I've played a vast number of courses over the past 20 some odd years. I'd easily rank Ashton Hills GC in my Top 10 of favorite courses.
The course was in phenomenal shape, for early April. You can tell the superintendent, and his crew, really take pride in their work. While the course had some challenging features, there were some fun holes, and the greens were some of the best around.
The staff was truly a delight. Everyone was polite, understanding, and seemed to earnestly care about their customers. The shop attendant, I believe that his name was Tanner, might have been the most helpful golf course employee that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was super helpful and accommodating throughout the check-in process.
I highly recommend giving Ashton Hills a shot, and look forward to playing there again.
Best course in the area
This course is my favorite in the area. It is fun and challenging and very well maintained. The greens run fast and true. The staff is friendly and I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
Outing
The course was wet from previous rain. The bunkers have very lisand in them. The layout is still nice, but needs to dry out more. Overall, I would still recommend the course.
Considering it’s February. Course was in good winter condition.
Quality golf at a reasonable place
The course and conditions were great! The staff was friendly and offered complimentary coffee in the clubhouse. I recommend trying ansnxbook earlier tee times because the afternoon gets packed and could lead to longer rounds. I'll be playing this course in the future!
Winter golf coupled with course construction
As the title states, it was winter golf course conditions and the grounds crew had a lot of maintenance going on. Cart paths were torn up every other hole due to work which wasn’t a huge deal. The course if fairly tough for an average to below average golfer like myself and I do not recommend this course for someone who shoots in the upper 90s or higher. The fairways were not forgiving. Greens were in decent shape with a fairly fast pace. The day I went we had zero issues with pace of play. Grounds crew seemed to follow us from hole to hole and seemed more keen on watching us than doing work which made us feel uneasy and was kinda annoying. Range and practice green were as expected. Tee boxes were also as expected with no real issues. I probably would not golf here again until after all course construction has been completed.
