Bad Experience with Starter and Manager
While waiting on the first tee the starter came up to us very aggressively told us we had to go back to the starter hut so he could check us in. We could not I understand the need to go back to the hut because he had his clipboard in his hand and there were seven or eight carts lined up behind us. He was the most aggressive and nasty starter that I have run across in my 40 years of the golf. After the round I asked to speak to a manager and the manager said that the starter was the nicest guy and he knew for a fact that things were not as I described.how he could make such a statement when he wasnt even on the tee is crazy. Irregardless, the manager should have simply apologized instead of making things worse. Poor customer service. Needless to say I will not be returning to Lakes of Taylor.
Same story…different day…
Course is challenging and well kept. As always, the issue remains the same, 3 hours to finish front 9. Either it’s the downriver golfer with no etiquette and blaring music and/or the lack of rangers pushing the pace, maybe they overbook or all the above. Whatever the reason it’s time I learn a lesson and go elsewhere and stop hoping that they have changed after a decade plus….
Slowwwwww play.
The course was in decent condition, especially with how much rain we have gotten recently. It should NEVER take 6 hours to play a round of golf. The course needs to do better at spacing out tee times and enforcing pace of play.
Great!
Still a little pricey for a December round of golf in Michigan!!
Best deal by far near Taylor
Fantastic conditions even for a fall round. With an early tee time they had the course cleared of leaves as best as possible for any course. Challenging but fun and will be back
A Gem hidden in Taylor.
I had 0 expectations for this course since I had never heard of or knew of anyone who had played here before. To say I was surprised is an understatement, absolutely stunning course layout and design, flawless greens mixed with genuinely nice players on every tee box, this is one of the best experiences golfing I’ve ever had and has now become my favorite course to play locally by far.
Great Course
A must play course for those that enjoy the game. So enjoyable to play a course that the staff seems to always have in great condition.
