Very Good Mountain Course
Very friendly staff. We had four players and two walkers with us to enjoy the round. No one minded and we were not charged for the extra walkers. Pace of play was terrific. Beautiful mountain views!
nice views
Had a great time. My wife and I had a great day. The staff was terrific. Jeans allowed due to vacationing golfers.
Fall leaves
What a gem of a course with beautiful views of the Never Summer range. The trees are all gone but the course is in incredible shap. Plays more difficult than when the trees were there. Greens are very fast but putt true.
Beautiful mountain course
Fun , challenging, and everything you want in a mountain course. The staff was great. I will be back. Really enjoyed it.
Terrific mountain course
Spectacular views of the Rocky Mountain National Forest and Shadow Mountain. Truely enjoyed my entire round, especially holes 10 & 11, take 1 extra club on 11. Watch your snacks, lots of Bandit Chipmonks! I'll be back!!!
Breathtaking views and smooth greens
We have golfed here once a year every summer for 6 years while in town on vacation. As you may guess, we keep coming back because we love the view., the staff, and the course.
Prior to 2015, the clubhouse let visitors to this resort town use clubs for free but sadly they now charge $1 per hole for club use i.e. &18 for 18 holes). As long as we can find a tee-time deal online, however, we will return annually.
Always a Colorado favorite
Grandlake is always fun to play. Every Coloradan should play this at least once in their life. I played at least 2 to 3 times this summer. A lot of days it is worth the drive from Denver because it is so affordable.
Mountain Course
Grand Lake golf course is pretty much a small town course in the mountains. The Beetle kill from the past few years have definitely change it. The back nine is nice in spots.
Beautiful place
I kept finding good deals hear and so I kept playing, 3 times in the week. loved everyone. couple rounds were slow, but with what you have to look at, who cares. Greens are very fast and yardages can be hard to read since everything is either up or down. I'll be back.
Great Mountain Course
Course played great , fairways and greens were nice. Greens were really quick. Great views.
Greens are BAD!
It has been about 5 years since I last played this course. The greens were, well, for a lack of a better word, junk! Winter or Elk or poor greens keeping got to them, bad. More sand then grass. I played during the week and it was cheap, $31 for 18 with cart, great price but when you get to the greens you will understand why it was so cheap.....
This Course is at Altitude (8500 feet)
Located at the Southern Entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park is located near Grand Lake, in a valley surrounded by snow capped mountains, even in early June when I played. At this altitude even an average drive travels a lot further. Lots of wildlife in the area, saw a Moose on the way into the course and several foxes on the course itself. If you are in the area this course is definitely worth effort.
Great day
Great weather, Unbeatable scenery, no crowds, everything I go to the mountains for. A little sloppy thanks to all the wet weather. Still as always a favorite of mine.
Great value.....mountainous backdrop a plus!
Great tract of land. On vacation with friends who don't golf and had afternoon open after hiking RMNP so rented clubs and enjoyed breathtaking scenery. Only issue was the greens had just been punched but I knew going in.
great price for mountain course
Course conditions were perfect. Little windy but ok .
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nice Lake
Beautiful little mountain town great place to bring family, don't ride only for golf. People are extremely friendly. Course is quiet narrow and more of a public course manicure. There is no view of a though the name may lead to believe you will be playing around some incredible mountain lake. But had great time driving ball in such high altitude Lol. Happy 50 Birthday Grand Lakes Gold Courses.
decrepid
Old design settled badly, like a cow pasture, uneven bumpy fairways, chaotic greens, needs major repair and renovation to be fair and playable.
Course was in great shape, good value for the money
The course was in great shape, staff was great, we played on a thursday and pace of play was no issue we moved right along and finished in 4 hours
Just a little miffed that the next review said greens were fast. Maybe he just had a bad day. The greens are fantastic.
