Good course
Only played here a few times but seem to play well when I do. Decent course in decent shape. Only played because I got an extra 25% discount which brought the "hot deal" down to a level I'm willing to pay. Brief interaction with the staff was good. I got there early and was let out early as there was space available.
One thing I have questioned... Hole #2 is a par 3 and there are two of them. Supposedly they alternate between them for which one they use. They are right in line with each other and I often wonder why they don't link them together to make a long 4 or short 5 out of it. The course is currently a par 70 and making it a 71 or 72 would be a little better I should think.
I would recommend the course if you can get it at the right price as it plays a little on the happy side of easy and is in good shape.
Lousy day
Weather lousy first 9. Got a little better back 9. Had a 10:22 t time. Thats all I will say about conditions. Can’t be helped.
What I will criticize though is the Wi-fi here. Absolutely unacceptable!!! Management needs to get something done about this. Tried to call the pro shop, no connection .
This is a hazard and danger. Even in good weather the Wi-fi is very poor!! If someone has a medical emergency they won’t be able to get out on phone. Never saw a marshal!!!
This is one of my favorite courses, but I had to say something about the so-fi!
I will always come back
Green work
When I booked, they didn’t let me know that the greens were going to be aerated. Temporary greens in the middle of the Fairways like normal and useless to even bring out the putter. I wish they would let me know in advance, even though they gave me a $20 gift cert.
Slowwwwwww
The path is slowwwwww. No marshal advise the slower groups
Do not play here
Could not even finish 9 holes because it started raiining so hard. The pace of play was also terrible as there were no marshalls in the course to regulate the pace of play.
Peak conditions
Spring valley might not be the longest or the coolest course off the tee boxes, but for a muni it’s in amazing shape right now and if you can avoid the wind it should be a very enjoyable day. Great walk and at its rate you can’t beat it, it almost looks like a country club.
Painfully slow pace of play
I think they need to extend the time between tee times because every time I play here it’s infected by slow play and beginners. It’s too bad because the course is fun but it’s not worth standing at the tee for 10 minutes waiting
Also, if you’re reading this and your a new golfer DO NOT GOLF HERE. Go to a par 3
Long wait
Spend 5 hrs and 15 minutes to complete a run on a weekday afternoon
It was a par 4 years ago. You could not tell if the group ahead of you was gone. Most second shots were an extreme downhill lie, and it slowed the pace to a crawl.
