Arrived early on Memorial Day, tee time was 1:28 but I got there a lil after 12:30. Was prepared to hit balls, but they said I could tee off whenever I was ready.
Getting into summer and there were not many people on the course. So I was able to listen to music and just relax. Fairways looked to have been punched not too long ago, but they were green and in good shape.
Greens were on point! No dead spots to be found.
I only play Palm Springs area courses in the summer. If you can deal with the heat, its a solid links style course. It will be in the rotation this summer.
Only down side is south side of the course where the road is, there are homeless down there and the water cooler they have on the course gets emptied pretty quickly.
Oh and some bozo out walking picking up golf balls.
Like the course and trying to get back out there this Sunday with my son.
Where’s the Shade?
The Boulder course is challenging and well maintained. We were able to complete our afternoon round (2 of us) in 4 hours. We never experienced a slow down and we were never rushed. There is a nice clubhouse that serves a nice lunch. There is absolutely no shade on the course. Better apply a thick layer of sunscreen.
Thanks so much for the great review. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course.
Great course for your money.
Staff was great, even got to do a few holes with the head pro, Styles, very nice guy. Course was in pretty good condition and the greens were good as well, maybe a little dry though, but still good.
My wife road around with me for free, as it wasn’t that busy and she wasn’t taking a seat from a golfer, nice deal.
The waiter in the lounge was very nice as well, had a couple sandwiches and glasses of wine, all very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this course.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us. Please visit again soon. Thanks for choosing Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course!

Great Staff
The staff sending you out are excellent. CUDOS to Ryan a great employee!
Greens are not good
This course has gone thru some significant damage in the last few years, so from that standpoint the fairways and rough are in good shape. The conditions of the greens are another story. They are inconsistent, are not in good shape and are very bumpy. I would not recommend this course unless you are able to secure a price below their regular rates.
Gorgeous Challenging Course
I loved playing this course. Thescenery is amazing and the course was in great condition. It was very windy...especially during the front 9. I dont know if that is stsndard conditions. I highly recommend this course.
Quick 18
Nice course with great pace of play. Course was in good shape other than the traps which were quite hard probably due to winds.
No carts, club stolen
Arrived 1 hour before tee time, no carts, maybe 15 people waiting. . Walk to range (long walk), walk back, still no carts. Get cart 4 minutes prior to time. 4th hole, homeless camp, under the bridge, woman comes and steals brand new driver from cart, runs off into desert. Wind was blowing 40 mph. Beer after was good though.
Stolen club and not enough carts
Waited an hour to get a cart. Hoofed to and from range, longish walk. No water for cleaning clubs at range. On 4th hole where there is a homeless camp under bridge, one of group had their driver stolen. Water stations on course were empty. Not a great experience. Course itself is ok.
Wife and I were passing through this area and found this course on Golf Now. We played mid afternoon and finished just before dark. We enjoyed experiencing this course. We will play again next time we are in this area
Pace of play poor
Need Marshall to improve pace of play. Took 5 hrs to play due to groups not keeping up, searching for golf balls in ponds and ignoring waiting groups behind them. Called clubhouse and were told no one could come out and get the group holding up play to move up in vacate the course. Ruins enjoyment of the game when no one cares to fix the problem. Cost of tee times has gone up every year with less care as to how those paying these rates are treated
Thank you the 5-Star Rating! We look forward to having you back soon at Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course
5 hour rounds
If you want to start 15 to 20 minutes after your tee time and take 5 hours to play after you start, this place is for you. We played there 5 times this year January to March 2024, was always 15 plus minutes behind. The first 3,rounds took 4:40 the last 2 took 5 hours. The only reason we went back the last time was because of a hot deal, plus I want to give them a last chance before I never play there again. No luck 5 hours.
Was told by the pro shop that they considered the course to be a resort course and 5 hours is not unusual for a resort course. So if you like 4:45 to 5:00 hour rounds, this place is for you.
