For this time of year, the Saddlebrook course was in good shape. A few greens had been worked on and regrowing the grass but overall it was a good experience.

The golf course was interesting, with a nice mix of shorter and longer holes. The conditioning was not the best; the course was being overseeded, and they were working on some of the greens, making them a patchwork in some cases. Greens were overall on the slow side. No walking allowed, which is a big mistake for a flat course like this one. The practice range is about a 5 minute cart ride through the resort on residential streets, which was a bit annoying.

Golf Now and the Course had highlighted overseeding and "cart path only" which for the most part were fine and as expected. Several greens had patch work done which when combined with overseeding made for "so so" putting experience which was reason for mid rating of course conditions. Actually rest of the course was pristine and well manicured. Nice resort setting for sure. Kudos to the Ranger/Player Assistance guy who helped manage a sticky situation with Saddlebrook Academy students/players were scheduled on front and back nine just as we were making the turn earlier than they expected we would. All in all a good day.

Course usually in good shape to play. No warning that course it's been worked on. And no warning that we would run to golf academy team. A bit unorganized. Maybe in better shape at beginning of the year.

With so many other great choices of golf in the area, I was not impressed with the Saddlebrook course and it’s $50 hot deal price. Many of greens are patched up. The upkeep was not up to par with vines running along the rough making it difficult to find your ball just off the fairway. I live in the area but will not go back unless it’s a true hot deal.

Could make non valet parking optional. Adds a phony pretentious aspect to the outing. We are just regular folks not high rollers! The golf course is very nice, challenging but playable. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, soggy conditions after several days of rain. Cart path only, no exceptions. Two seniors playing in 90 degree plus heat had a tough time of it. Staff could have been more understanding. Dry conditions great course.

The Saddlebrook course forces you to keep your shots in play , with a few dog legs and winding holes you will see that straight shot performance will score better on this track . There are a fair amount of bunkers to put you in trouble as well as small ponds along either side of the fairways on any given hole . The greens roll very well and have some tricky pin positions at times so you want to be as close as you can to the pin ha ha Ha . It is a lot of fun to play a lot of beautiful houses and scenery along the way also a very friendly staff to meet your every need .So come and play you will enjoy it ...

This course was in almost excellent condition. The greens are the only reason it got the good rating. Not all of them were "back", there were a few with bare spots. But fairways and layout was excellent.

This course definitely challenges your metal game. Stepping up to the tee, its about position and where you need to be fore your next shot. It offered a challenge hole after hole.

I would recommend playing this course, staff are great, and its on a resort property so after the round there are many options available for nourishment and refreshments.

I love this place. The service from top down is just great. The course is very well maintained and lush. The greens were a little spotty, unlike the rest of the course, but they putted well, despite the fact that they had been aerated fairly recently.

The slope of the course is 137-so be prepared to face some trouble. This is not a course for beginners or high handicap players, especially if you don't have lots of golf balls with you.

Overall this is a great golf experience and you should take the opportunity to play it at currently very afforable rates through Golfnow.

I expected the course to be in superb shape with nice layout but it did not excel when compare to many other courses in Tampa area. I was disappointed with the condition of the greens of most holes, there are many other (cheaper) courses that have better greens! Fairways were in good condition. Many holes were wet but I did not mind walking all 18 holes with the cart path only rules.

Even though I know that I have to bring many $1 bills, I still do not like the way the system is set up. Total tips 6 times!

No coolers with ice cold water along the course! There were some water tanks but they did not look nice at all and the water was not cold. It may be a slow day when I played but there was not a cart selling drinks at all, or was it the resort policy?

Staff were nice though.

I will try out the Palmer course some time soon. Hope it is nicer than the Saddlebrook course!

Saddlebrook course was in great shape. Starter was very friendly and informative about course. A lot of fun to play. If/when you play here, make sure you have plenty of $1 bills to tip staff. You cannot park your own car (valet), they shuttle you to clubhouse (tip), someone else loads up your clubs (tip) and then you do it all again after the round. Also, be prepared to spend $35-$40 for a 6 pack of beer.
