Not what it used to be.
Fairways were not mowed, greens are in terrible shape and didn’t hold their lines. Place has fallen off quite a bit in the last few years.
Enjoyed my round. Would play it again.
Heavy clover on the first couple of holes. Greens putted well and were good sized. It was Monday so the amenities were closed. Pro was very accommodating and polite.Turtlebacks were challenging but fair.
Wonderful course
Staff very friendly, course in great shape. Great experience
Great Course.
Course was in great condition for 2 days straight of rain, great carts and staff. Challenging course.
Roller Coaster
Playing this course was like being on a roller coaster ride. I’ve played many mountain courses but this was ridiculous. To see it is to believe it. I talking like 100-150 ft drops and inclines. Fairway was a bit burnt up, but I have to give credit to the green keeper. Their greens were flawless. Good pace abs they rolled true. My only other gripe was the over hanging trees in the fairway. Great drives shouldn’t be hindered by over hanging limbs. Don’t get me wrong, I know I may sound a bit whinny ; but I’m a 5 handicapper who shot 78 that day . The average golfer would not be able to maneuver . See pic
Fast greens
Greens pretty punishing. Very fast and hard to get stuff to stick. Great course though.
Course has up and down hills, cart a good idea.
Overall this course is enjoyable, but there are some "blind shots" the average golfer will face, so familiarity with layout is a plus. We played on a dry sunny day and found the greens kind of fast with instances of putts ending up father away from where they started, and this by our lowest handicap player. A few greens had some rough patches (such as #17), but we were more critical when finding some tee boxes were not level (such as #7 and #8 women's tee). Maybe latter set up for drainage, who knows. Overall however the course was playable and fun and worth the fee.
GREAT Value
Very well maintained for the cost. Challenging layout. Quick greens. Interesting holes. Could use a touch more separation between mens & ladies tees. Really nice views. Absolutely best value that we've had for a golf course of this quality. Would give a 4& 1/2 if the rating allowed. Between a 4 & 5.
Tuff Greens
Course is in good condition for the amount of rain we have had recently, Nice views from the mountains and a lot of elevation changes. Greens were in very good shape.
